Absolutely. 95% of iPad owners have no clue how to use most of the features, like me! I watch netflix on flights, answer emails and read the news. I should get a portable controller and play games on it at the park instead of taking naps.

FYI if you get the new M1 MacBooks and have an ultrawide you will need to take an extra step to support the panel native resolution on the monitor. Open the resolution tab and select “default for display” then hold down “option” and native resolution should be available in the scaled resolutions menu. Really weird Read more

I believe she meant thicc* but it was reported wrong. Like the sesame street book we are different but the same. Thicc legs, thin legs they all are used to walk and run :)

I love Dr. Becky at Home. Also gentle parenting is very similar to RIE which was started by Magda Gerber. It’s what my wife and I try to implement, but sometimes we are abrasive...

I’ve gotten pretty good at scrambled eggs. I use whole milk (because I never have whipping cream) to scramble, add butter to pan, cook low and slow stirring frequently with spatula. Comes out great. I personally don’t like my scrambled eggs too creamy. The texture grosses me out, so I overcook slightly.

Semi related, my company is planning to go hybrid once we “return” to the office. They showed us a day-in-the-life and it had morning commute to work on voice calls and afternoon return to the home office on zoom calls. My company wants us to die.

I’m so dumb. After reading the headline I was trying to find the part where the lobster was part of a last meal for someone. Then I realized death row was the lobster’s fate. Need more coffee...

I wish this guy would fall off the face of the earth. My mother in law was up in arms about someone wearing a mask at an outdoor restaurant. Next thing you know I see this is the latest crap to come out of Tucker’s stupid mouth. I asked my mother in law, “If someone was wearing a rain coat and it wasn’t raining would Read more

There are quite a few non-Mac monitors that work well with the ecosystem. I have used a few different TB3 and USB-C monitors with my MacBook. I wouldn’t want to pay the apple tax on a screen. The only thing I lose is the ability to use the oled slider for brightness but that’s going away on the new macbooks, so it’s a Read more

More like someone who is strong but not THAT strong, and lean but not REALLY lean! Wants to be a both but is trapped by their middling genetics.

Agreed on no generational stereotypes. I was asking the top comment what they were alluding to. What’s funny is a read a book by Magda Gerber that encouraged all of this in the 70s. I do hope that each generation becomes better at parenting, taking what they learned from their parents’ shortcomings. I’ll be curious to Read more

How so? I’m a new parent and an older millennial. What pitfall would you suggest I avoid? One thing I’m doing different than my parents is encouraging my kids feelings, letting them know it’s ok to be mad/sad/silly/etc. My boomer parents would “give us something to cry about” and taught us to bury emotion.

I always like to see what commenters on FoxNews are thinking, call it morbid curiosity. They are doing what they do best and getting upset over the narrative attacking their sense of whiteness. The main argument is “Liberal media is trying to make this about race, but doesn’t want to talk about sex trafficking.” They Read more

Going from 31.5" FHD to QHD is huge, but I’m a monitor snob and honestly I can’t go below UHD on anything bigger than 27" and QHD for 27 and below. Even ultrawides I have to use a 38" 3840x1600. Once you get used to higher PPI it’s really hard to downgrade. I recently was messing around with a really fast FHD monitor Read more

Order a third dish. Boom! My wife and I each get our own thing and will share a bite or two at most (we eat like ravenous dogs) and then we split an app or extra entrée. I don’t like the fact that ol’ boy only eats half of the thing he orders knowing full well his partner doesn’t. If that’s the case he shouldn’t touch Read more

I always get a kick out of my mother in law. She is in really good health for her age, but lives by some weird food rules. She will only eat half a banana in the morning. I asked why won’t she eat the whole thing because the fruit flies were annoying me. She told me “bananas are fattening” as she slurped down a venti Read more
