U might imagine this only occurs in places unused to icy roads. However, here in Edmonton we often get a polar vortex type weather. We name it the deep freeze. But, every year it seems we need to relearn how to drive in winter. Every year. A good bodyman is never out of werk:)

It was the first and worst beater! A former government forestry Rambler 4 cyl with a sloppy 3 spd in the tree. We paid $50 and the rest of the beer on the table. Had no heater and that's a no no in Canada. Once though we rescued two gentlemen from a stalled Jag Saloon in a blizzard. Got more than $50 worth of stories…

I recommend an Intermecchanica. Fibreglass body that is a dead ringer for a '59 Porsche D convertible. VW type I simplicity. New fan belt was $8 and I installed it in short time. Replaceable parts. Simple maintenance. It attracts people and is fun to drive, therefore one may be motivated to keep it alive for a while.…
