Pokemon’s move proves the Switch is the successor to 3DS
Pokemon’s move proves the Switch is the successor to 3DS
there’s a youtube video where they dropped it from like 1,000 feet, and it survived!
“So even though 3DS and 2DS sales are on the decline and publishers aren’t really interested in doing 3DS software any more, it benefits Nintendo to figure out a way to keep the business going, since there’s nothing to replace it with” when Iwata merged their handheld and console divisions in 2013 that was the…
“When the effects of global warming weren’t really being felt yet...” still waiting on them you know!!!
Square’s decision, NOT Nintendo’s.
If it’s got this “monster install base” then why do its newest releases keep failing to crack the top 10, even when digital is included?
“The Wii U had been fading fast by early 2016 and the Switch didn’t launch until early 2017.” is THAT why Splatoon sold so well, because it was fading?
“That is our goal,” Fils-Aime says of the 20 million year-two Switch mark. “This October, November, December timeframe is critical to us achieving that goal.”you’re not going to make it, because October is over, and guess what year-on-year continued LOWER, leaving just November and December to carry the bulk of that…
Quit believing Reggie’s lies. Going from 1.17 million to 500,000 in the “Americas” as Reggie puts it is NOT increasing! Look for yourself, on the very last page is their year-on-year comparison, and 3DS is NOT up in any region!
So, why did they post Wii U results at all if it “tanked”?
“here in the Americas we’ve had growth year-on-year for the first three quarters of the year.” oh no you have not!! Nintendo’s quarterly reports all show year-on-year DECLINES in 2018, not increases! Here’s the link yourself to verify whether or not he’s lying (hint: HE IS! Scroll to the very last page, and compare…
Too bad that due to the majority of that 35 million 3DS install base (easily most 3DS owners have more than 1), moving onto Switch, this game has completely bombed in sales.
why? Why would there be a 3D Mario game to compete with Odyssey?
Ain’t gonna happen, it’d be a port of a port, and there is no “deluxe” mode for this.
No, it’s not a good game, it’s only desired because of the characters.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Fanboys said it’s IMPOSSIBLE to port a DS or a 3DS game to Switch, that the only reason Monster Hunter XX was ported was because the Switch version was in development alongside the 3DS version (despite releasing years later), so how is a DS game ported onto Switch when fanboys said it’s…
The poor game came out too late in the 3DS’s lifetime, and now it’s totally bombed in sales, failing to even make the top 20!

Thanks to the massive attach rate (similar to that of SNES) in the end it actually squeezed out a tiny profit overall for them. Definitely a disappointment though since everyone expected bigger profits, but profit is still profit.
Nope, 3DS was a failure too, leading to Nintendo’s first ever loss posted in April of 2012, 7 months BEFORE Wii U even hit the market: https://www.polygon.com/gaming/2012/4/26/2975416/nintendo-earnings-loss
