I have children, none of your options work in a household where children still play outside ... yes, I know a strange concept these days.

There is a difference between meadow and normal height. My neighbor mows 2-3 times a week while I get mine about once every 7-10 days. Mine looks better (albeit shaggier) than his because he cuts it too low. recommend 3" height for water retention, weed prevention, and thatch health. 3" is a lot longer than most

This article (or at least the headline) is really, really bad advice for anybody who lives in a city or suburb. Local governments have written laws explicitly addressing this. If you fail to mow your lawn and keep it at a reasonable length, the local municipal government will show up at your house and mow your lawn

HOA not required. Lots of towns have strict lawn policies. There’s concern about snakes, mosquitoes and other pests. In a lot of places if you let it go too long, the city will mow it and then send you a bill. And it’s a lot more than any landscaping company would charge.

I live in chigger-country and appreciate being able to go outside my house without being eat up with bug bites. Also: snakes love high grass, so I’d also like to walk in my lawn without fear of stepping on one of those as well. Lastly, I like to actually go outside and do stuff and not have ass-high grass all around

Except in cases where you’re required to by an HOA, care about your property values, or care about your relationship with your neighbors.

sketching up existing equipment that doesn’t have a drawing will most certainly require having to calculate angles. nothing to figure out radius as well. this is basically a case to carry some pencils and pens and throw some other shit in there to look cool.

Seriously? Three Leatherman tools? You could easily drop two of those. I mean if you are going to carry around a multitool “just in case,” you for sure don’t need three.

Also a $60 knife and $5 pair of calipers? For an “engineer’s” bag the priorities on this set up are WAY off. Get yourself a $5 utility knife and a

^yep^ - or- lets just find stuff with big price tags .... [except the calipers?] I mean 3 different leathermans??? And a ninja tactical knife? Just need condoms to complete the “fix, fight or fuck “ trifecta.....

“Pencils are for folks who make mistakes”

No Zebra 5mm pen?

Culture’s partly top-down. If a CEO cares about customers and is an effective leader, the company will care about customers. In order for the company to treat customers as badly as Intuit does, the CEO either does not make customers a priority, or is an ineffective leader, or both. I don’t particularly want to take

Seriously. Intuit is one of the most customer un-friendly companies out there. They buy up great software/services and make them crap. Every accountant I know hates them with a passion.

I don’t see why anyone would want to model themselves on Intuit in any way. Their products are barely adequate and their customer service and support makes United Airlines look good.

Brad Smith and Intuit works by lobbying endlessly to prevent Americans from being able to file tax returns for nothing! Talk about a fluffing interview.

My wife and I got married during spring of the Great Recession. I lost my job 2 months prior and she was about to start her career as an attorney 2 months after our wedding. We spent a week down in Playa Mujeres at a really nice resort. We came back to move into our apartment and continued our honeymoon in Vegas for a

I’ve always kept my grass longer than most, I just like the way it looks, nice and thick. Also, I never water my lawn, the lots in our sub are 3/4 acre or bigger and that’s just too much to water imo. There’s still a couple of vacant lots in the sub, nobody ever waters those and they grow just fine.

You need to move, because that’s some communist bullshit right there.

Problem is some communities with “lawn Nazi” type of members in it they freak out and report you if your lawn is more than 2 inches. Yes, I have had this happen. I rigged up my sprinklers to a remote so I could hose down the old turd whenever he even walked near my yard.

I hear there is this law firm in Panama that can help you out on that..
