Perhaps they dressed her like a "grandma" in the present to make the actress seem younger when she is in the flashback scenes. I like the Adele story line, tragic death of her fiance on the day of her wedding left to raise a daughter on her own. Not sure if Thomas is really vindictive, for me he seems more like a

The key thing to Adele's reaction is she has not seen Simon interact with anyone else, and the children came into the library just before she got close enough to actually touch him. Adele has also had some sort of previous incident involving Simon since his death, for her, seeing him now might be like before.

You will find out why the female Lieutenant went off on the guy in a future episode. The scene with the wolf is kinda lame.

At the end of the fiance's speech (Adele is her name) the school kids walked in, I think that is why Simon left. You are correct that Adele has had some sort of previous experience involving Simon, which is why her reaction is different from Camille's mom.

I saw a comment elsewhere that Camille looks like she could be the daughter of Mireille Enos of The Killing, and I think that the Adele's daughter (Chloe) could pass as Emma Roberts younger sister.

SPOILERS

I ended up watching the scene (s) a second time. I didn't catch on the first viewing that his son has the same first name as the goalkeeper.

The kid was his grandson.

Brody dying in the finale to save Carrie and his unborn child would be a good ending for the character. Season 4 with Brody plus Carrie having his baby would be a problem.

There is a short funeral scene in the third or fourth episode for the old man who jumped off the dam. Done in the low key style of the show.

That was a theory on imdb when the show aired in the UK, it is not that dumb of a question. There are no actual scenes with both girls as "twins" and I think the writers wanted to show the connection that both girls have in a limited amount of time in the flashback. So the writers suggested that the boy would not

The show does not really speed things up, the pace of the first episode is pretty much the pace of the series.

Victor and Adele's daughter, Brune Martin (Chloe) might be a problem for season 2. I read somewhere that suggested that Yara Pilartz (Camille) might be a problem as well and that Jenna Thiam (Lena) could play both parts, but I don't think she will be an issue.

My Swedish friend years ago told me how funny it was to turn on the TV in Germany and watch John Wayne films dubbed in German.

I am actually hoping that the writers won't try to explain the "how" in season 2. The "why" might be important for the end of the series but I don't think we need to know the "how"

I don't think we know for sure Victor caused the crash.

Channel 4's trailer is what got me to watch the series and it was very well done. That trailer actually included the visual shot of the series, The Butterfly coming to life.

I admit that it is not clear cut. Camille might be partially responsible. It is interesting that of all the people on the bus that died, the one who might be somewhat culpable for the crash is the one to return.

I have seen a few reviews that compare the show to the Swedish vampire film Let The Right One In, which kinda of is a European arthouse drama/ horror film.

Mogwai usually has one or two songs with vocals per album. Most post rock bands that are primarily instrumental usually need a guest vocalist when they add vocals, Mogwai actually had a band member(s) that is the vocalist.
