The top TV shows are better written than a lot of the middle of the road films, and the middle of the road films have to made with an eye towards having an opening weekend to justify the 25 million spent in advertising the movie.

Actually all three of those shows had or will have a third season.

I dont see why the writers would do that when by far the better option is that Petra is not lying and the baby is from Rafael's other sperm sample. Rafael having two kids less than one year apart with two women who couldn't be more different and both under crazy circumstances, equals a bunch of possible story lines

Her teacher seemed interested in Valerie during the conference with both parents. I am hoping that is where the show is headed, the mom and the teacher hooking up, and not Laura with her teacher.

I think the show should have made them brother and sister period. Would be a little Mulder on the X-Files, but Weller becomes FBI agent after being obsessed with what happened to his little sis, little sis ends up in Time Square etc.

19 is correct as of now.

As a college basketball fan, since when do colleges have scouts? Mr star basketball player would have to be a total idiot not to know which Duke assistant basketball coach would be at his game.

3) Willa Fitzgerald (Emma aka final girl) along with Bex Taylor-Klaus though are the only two actors among the teenagers that can actually act. I think if you dont find Emma interesting or smart, that is on the writers for how they have written the character.

Save the Last Dance (2001). 10 Things I Hate About You (1999). Prince and Me (2004). The Omen (2006) was the last movie where she played a leading role that did anything at the boxoffice. Stiles needs to get a quality role in a cable drama ASAP.

Pretty sure Jaar was replaced. Zoe Keating/Jeff Russo are credited with the music at wiki.

Guess I am the only one on here looking forward to this remake/adaptation. For one thing, Resurrection (ABC) is perceived as the American remake of Les Revenants. Also this is on cable and not network TV (Gracepoint).

I agree that the show is not going to deviate that far from Broadchuch either based on the promo, there are several upcoming story lines that appear to be exactly like Broadchurch.

I agree with the reviewer that the daughter help to humanize Carver and I liked having a character that doesnt show up in Broadchurch show up in Gracepoint.

Look at Phil Alden Robinson. Field of Dreams 1989 and Sneakers 1992. Ten more years before he made Sum of All Fears. Paul Brickman. Risky Business 1983. Men Dont Leave 1990. Both directors that I dont understand why they did not make more films.

Yeah I dont get the comment either. Colman was the exact opposite of shrill, even in scenes where she complained to her husband about not getting the promotion. Gunn is a good actress but she seems miscast as Miller and she is not the only cast member badly cast.

The second season could be set in the 1920's for all we know and have nothing to do with season 1. I reserve judgment until a logline is released or a trailer.

I would prefer that the show did not go there with Carrie and Quinn, but it seems like at least 75% of the Homeland questions to various online sites that deal with spoilers are about Quinn/Carrie. So either the writers are going to write to the shippers or perhaps they are teasing them a bit but they are not

Broadchurch handled the red herrings in a way that did not bother me compared to the first season of The Killing (US). In The Killing it was almost a red herring of the week, where at the end of the episode the suspect or red herring was usually eliminated as the potential killer, that does not happen in Broadchurch,

Gracepoint is speeding up some of the quieter character moments, the Broadchurch episodes are 3-5 minutes longer, which limits the amount of time the show is going to give to those quiet moments. Also network TV probably doesnt do quiet moments anyway.
