Why exactly are we trying to bring this around to apartheid?
Why exactly are we trying to bring this around to apartheid?
The anti-Musk propaganda here is too gratuitous. What kind of a lazy game reviewer implies anyone who enjoys conquest games must be a product/supporter of apartheid ><
Building a space launch company, a multi-thousand satellite constellation, and the most successful EV company is a snake-oil salesman?
Not to be one of those nerds who defends Elon musk, but here in California nearly every car is a Tesla and the folks who drive them all love them, swear by them, and say they’ll never drive another car that’s not a Tesla. That’s some snake oil he’s got there.
Hit the button for help that’s displayed on the screen. It will explain what each and every stat means.
The UI tell you there is a button for details. Which display the Stat or the starting classes. Pressing back allow you to read an explanation of each Stat when you are on that screen.
“I’m old school, if you’re going to make a game with complex rules and stats then give me a goddamn manual or some kind of UI embedded text explaining what most stats do.”
You did yourself a favor cause if minor stuff like that bothered you so much you probably wouldn’t have made it out of the first area.
I do really like Gregg Miller in some ways but dude is a kind of calculated phoney that really irks me. He’s like a much more likable Jimmy Fallon(Pete Holmes?) in that he has a fakeness to him that even you know he knows I laid on too thick. I wish Jeff Gerstmann was more mainstream because while he’s sometimes…
I’m with planehugger on this; saying that a broad group of people should be ashamed of their bodies and seek surgical care to “correct” it is fucking disgusting. It wouldn’t be any different than me going on Jezebel and saying, “Fat chicks are gross, they should all just get liposuction! lolz”
0.0017018 kilometers.
I think a person is being inappropriate anytime they suggest that someone is lesser because of a physical feature, and say they should get painful surgery to fix the supposed deficiency. That goes for the comments here, as well as the (far more common) comments women get about their physical features.
“This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”
If you don’t want to play the games that are that difficult, then don’t. There’s not a paucity of media out there. Its not like Souls players are bombarding the makers of random other adventure games with demands to make it insanely hard so they can find it fulfilling.
Trying to insist that every game have an easy…
The difficulty of these games is overstated. You just have to use your brain a little and be willing to learn.
If you notice, its games journalists that bitch about difficulty.
FromSoftware’s titles are popular, so people who don’t enjoy them for what they are dislike the idea of not “keeping up” with those who do. Playing CRPGs isn’t considered “cool”, so this kind of discourse doesn’t tend to focus on them.
Because not including difficulty options is objectively wrong, according to the discourse Kotaku subscribes to.
I hate this argument about From Software being behind the times when no one is arguing for other games to be more accessible. My cousin cannot play platformers like Mario, for instance, and when he plays some of the older Assassin’s Creed games, he needs to put in an outright “God Mode” cheat to play. No one’s out…
Why is it lagging behind to not include a difficulty modifier? Isn’t it a design choice for the developer?
