If you don’t want to play the games that are that difficult, then don’t. There’s not a paucity of media out there. Its not like Souls players are bombarding the makers of random other adventure games with demands to make it insanely hard so they can find it fulfilling.

Trying to insist that every game have an easy

It’s ok, you don’t gotta like it, but I don’t know why you gotta be weirdly bitter about it...

The difficulty of these games is overstated. You just have to use your brain a little and be willing to learn.

If you notice, its games journalists that bitch about difficulty.

It’s funny how often the “every game should be for everyone” apostles fail to see the flaw in their reasoning when they instantly make an amalgamation between a community and its toxic vocal minority.

FromSoftware’s titles are popular, so people who don’t enjoy them for what they are dislike the idea of not “keeping up” with those who do. Playing CRPGs isn’t considered “cool”, so this kind of discourse doesn’t tend to focus on them.

Because not including difficulty options is objectively wrong, according to the discourse Kotaku subscribes to.

I hate this argument about From Software being behind the times when no one is arguing for other games to be more accessible. My cousin cannot play platformers like Mario, for instance, and when he plays some of the older Assassin’s Creed games, he needs to put in an outright “God Mode” cheat to play. No one’s out

Why is it lagging behind to not include a difficulty modifier? Isn’t it a design choice for the developer?

Hey, look at big shot over here with no weirdo fucks in their closet.

Dark Souls isn’t only a single player game. You can choose to play offline if you want single player, but multiplayer is an important part of the game and part of what made the series unique.

While I understand the appeal to the first one; it never felt like a particularly good movie. Let alone murder mystery.

No, it was utter shit and the ending made no sense.

I don’t know... Terry Matalas is HEAVILY involved with season 2 of Picard, and I trust him to do a time-travel story justice.

The first season of Picard was insultingly bad, so I’m not optimistic about this. Time travelling shenanigans to the 20-21st century is a well worn trope of Trek but honestly I was hoping for more Star Trek in my Star Trek and seeing Picard in the 21st century is just kind of lazy, unless of course he decides to pick

No

Everyone thought they were going to call it Lord of the Rings: The Second Age, which would have been fine.

Hmm, sounds like some scab shit.

which is being written by La Brea executive producers Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.

I tried to get into this show but every character being super annoying or making super annoying descisions over and over again eventually becomes a huge turn off. I just got tired of it.
