This is my favourite of the Cornetto trilogy by some distance, and I'm still absolutely crazy about it despite having watched it no less than fifteen times. I'm not 100% happy with the final stretch, but the first hour is simply perfect.

Glad to have found someone who hated Chappie as much as I did. I haven't left a cinema that furious since Bad Boys 2. Spectacularly dumb, unfocused and pandering shit.
Mendes is the worst thing to happen to James Bond since Scaramanga. Who the hell asked for those movies to become slow, solemn, portentous and freshly sexist? Give me the pep and vibrancy of that loopy Scientologist's Impossible Mission movies. You know, the upbeat and entertaining things?
The only problem with The Love Guru is how poorly directed it is. Some of the gurning performances are insufferable, and some scenes are so badly staged that they're completely incomprehensible.
Cast Louis CK as the meat for that sandwich
What happened to those rumours about a re-edited version of the fourth season? Hurwitz was meant to be making it himself but it hasn't been mentioned in a year or so.
Trainspotting still has my favourite line of dialogue, ever.
In the UK it was shown as a one-off TV movie (the pilot, I assume) and I convinced my 9-year-old self that I liked it because Fahey seemed cool.
Easy Rider. Trite and idiotic.
Totally agree. That music is so damn twee.
“you're essentially lobbying for the removal of two words”
These kinds of discussions always descend into areas that are steadfastly unacademic, and it seems so stupid that we're talking about the cultural baggage that's tied to women's footwear.
I am aware of the tropes, but utilising them doesn't make someone sexist - it makes them lazy. If we're breaking down character stereotypes to asses whether they're sexist or not, the lead in this book doesn't exactly sound like a future feminist icon either.
"the casually sexist depiction of a woman who wears heels as evil"
Hell's Kitchen is better than Game of Thrones you donkeys. GET OUT
No idea why, but the term "aggravated assault" pulled me right out of the trailer. Seemed massively out of place.
I don't know if I agree or disagree with the C+ because I was completely unable to assess this film in any meaningful way. All I know is that I laughed the whole way through it, as did everyone I went with. Needless to say if you're planning on seeing it, see it with the largest crowd possible.
Trashy was probably the wrong word, but films like that are rarely celebrated. A shame no doubt, but it's the same old story.
Caught Bone Tomahawk at my local arthouse last night and I can't believe that Richard Jenkins isn't a lock for supporting actor. I know it's a slightly trashy genre piece but the whole film could have sunk if he wasn't as good as he was.
"Game Of Thrones’ Ralph Ineson"
