That’s a bad argument. Using your sarcastic argument would eliminate women’s sports entirely. We have separate events for men and women to encourage competition for women. There needs to be a delineation between the men’s and women’s sports. Testosterone has been found to be the easiest indicator. As long as CeCe has

The hormone therapy and reduction of testosterone, along with the waiting period, are intended to equalize the muscle differences.

Going through puberty as a male will result in a different muscular and skeletal structure than going through puberty as a woman.  The use of hormone therapy in adult males negates a lot of the muscle differences, but not the skeletal / bone differences.

I think the Caster case is much different than this case. In this case the individual has undergone hormone therapy to put themselves on an even playing field with women. In Casters case, she has a specific condition (DSD, per the IAAF ruling) that puts her hormone levels significantly higher than her competition.

Did she undergo hormone therapy? Yes? Is her testosterone maintained at a level commensurate with other female athletes? Yes? Then who cares.

The IAAF ruling only applies to those who have the 46 XY DSD condition.  If it applies to Caster, then she has internal testes.

The point is that no matter how much they try, when it comes to the top .1% of competitors, no XX athlete can compete with persons with the 46 XY DSD condition without taking testosterone artificially.

There already are? That’s how they determine if people are doping with testosterone, they check against expected levels, and people above a certain range are considered to be doping. Specifically, indirect methods to detect doping include determination of the testosterone/epitestosterone glucuronide ratio with

And even if he DID have 6 foot long arms, we split event competition into those with XX and those with XY chromosomes, because there is a marked difference in physical ability between those with said chromosomes.  Michael Phelps competing with long arms does not break the delineation of the competitors.

Your idea, taken to its logical conclusion, is the complete elimination of female only (we’re talking about biological sex, not gender, so I don’t think using the word woman is appropriate) sporting events. Caster has an inherent advantage provided by testosterone, which she gets from testes. Should all persons with

Hakeem also won a title without any other all stars on the team....which makes Dirks title not as original. Within the 30 year period the writer discusses. Really just completely overlooked him.

The play was called poorly on the field.  The returner “gave himself up”.  When a player gives himself up, the play is over.  Otherwise people are going to get really, really hurt.

These headphones are superior for day to day use, but they are NOT better for travel. If they are not in use they turn off after about 5 minutes. So if you noise cancelling headphones while sleeping on a flight, get the bose

I am surprised you still think the Patriots deflated footballs. The NFL is just laughably incompetent and doesn’t understand PV=nRT.

If by “leans forward” you mean “jumps directly towards the basket and remains vertical until the defender jumps into him” then yes.

The defender jumps right into him. If you’re a defender in the NBA, you go straight up. That he was dumb enough to jump at Harden is his fault. Additionally, Harden doesn’t initiate the contact, he jumps directly towards the basket and the defender is to his left 2 - 3 feet away. He doesn’t kick his legs out a la

Wife has one, she really likes it. We test drove a TON of similar crossovers back in 2014 (Nissan, Toyata, Honda, Ford, Kia, Subaru). We liked the Subaru the most, but couldn’t justify the extra dollars. She didn’t like the Honda (I thought it was fine), Nissan (agree, it was pretty shit), Ford (I don’t recall my

It depends on the car. I bought a used CPO 2009 335i. Within the first 6 months the AC went out, would have been $5,200 to fix. I had other, more minor things go wrong with the car as well (pumps, some of the plastic piping broke, etc) which probably racked up around $2-3K in the rest of the time I owned it. I was

John Kerry made a push to talk to Middle America?

That may have been the case 15 years ago..but then the republicans let GWB get a lot of executive power that the Dem’s complained about....and then the Dem’s gave Obama even more executive power...and now we have this.
