I’m a sucker for supertight, cartoonish-style comic work, reminds me of the (sadly) late Mike Wieringo’s style. Like Palpatine, I’ll be following this guy’s work with great earnest.

Wow, surprised they didn’t design a Les Enfants Terribles....anything, though perhaps they would have copyright conflicts with the novel and film by the same name.

“Erotic Tactical Espionage Action.”

Clearly, it’s this guy.

Semi related but shenanigans like this is why I wanted to play MGSV’s Metal Gear Online asap, because it never seems to last long as it is. But since finding out there’s barely any online trophies (just for the one on one invasion mode), I can relax now.

Mitsuru = the only senpai I’ve labored to notice me.

The ways I’m justifying buying this game at Day One retail:

Well, that confirms my earlier statement...he is a better man than I. If anything, this makes my resolve to get the game even stronger, thank you.

I won’t dispute this if you’re undeniably certain of the fact, but on the surface I would find it unlikely that Kojima was merely a salaryman, prior to the shakeup anyway. If he got paid his due already, and not contracted for residuals - and Konami then showed him the door (supposing), why would Kojima keep promoting

I’ve just finished placing my preorder, myself. This game is still KojiPro’s baby, after all.

Right. Udon’s collective comic book talent is unquestionable, but I just feel that this was a bad experiment that also got rushed out in the end, IIRC.

All of Udon’s sprite work on that game was terrible.

Not a single fighting game in the bunch - and during EVO season, to boot. The fighting game community needs to step up, methinks. Especially when Street Fighter V is aiming to be the LoL of fighters next year.

“Cautiously optimistic” is my stance about this. Hopefully it’s like REmake and not pseudo RE4.

I am a little surprised that they’ve basically put Dark Souls into Metal Gear and we’re not talking about it here on Kotaku. It’s an amazing addition to a game that already seemed to have it all.

Hit Platinum on Arkham Knight in time to prepare for MGSV by completing Ground Zeroes. I might go back to Peace Walker to finish the final chapter, but GZ does a good job on catching up, so maybe I’ll use the time to catch up on my massive PS3 backlog.

Unexpected but I like. Not as radical a makeover as Ken. Moves seem a tad SFxT-ish with those chunky slash effects. It’s funny, before the reveal Ono was teasing Necalli with a few off screenshots and people were speculating about Vega.

Sure, I understand the disappointment but classifying this as a “product” is what’s causing the confusion. We weren’t signing up to get a beta copy of the game, but beta “access.” You have to sign onto the game server for it to even work. And it was strictly for the cause of stress testing the servers. That’s why

“It’s cool that Capcom is making this up to people, I guess, but...this is a beta! Video games, if you could think of a better term for this kind of bonus access, that’d be great, because the point of a beta (as they even say in the post!) is to test stuff for the actual release, and this was certainly a test Capcom

Thank you for adding that last paragraph. This is as beta as betas get. As bad as the salt flow is now, better for it to happen at this point than at launch.

Capcom built an entiely new netcode for this game, they had no idea it wasn’t going to handle the stress test and they’re not swindling people out of their money.
