“It’s cool that Capcom is making this up to people, I guess, but...this is a beta! Video games, if you could think of a better term for this kind of bonus access, that’d be great, because the point of a beta (as they even say in the post!) is to test stuff for the actual release, and this was certainly a test Capcom

Thank you for adding that last paragraph. This is as beta as betas get. As bad as the salt flow is now, better for it to happen at this point than at launch.

Capcom built an entiely new netcode for this game, they had no idea it wasn’t going to handle the stress test and they’re not swindling people out of their money.

Then you would have been super disappointed because Ken isn’t scheduled for this beta. It starts out with just Ryu, Chun, Nash and Bison and we were supposed to get Cammy and Birdie Saturday, but who knows how it’s going to end up now.

That’s why I meant Dark Resurrection in my original post (I was thinking of Tekken Revolution at the time, lol). DR still had death combos but it was still better balanced that 5 and a lot more tolerable than games with Bound. I did play a lot of Tag 2, but I’m looking forward to T7, well...holding out hope for it,

Well, I won’t fault you for personal preference, but the laundry list as to why most people weren’t fond of 4 were:

You are literally saying that Tekken 4 was better than Tekken 5: Dark Revolution.

You’re forgetting that no matter how hard they try to scrub the man’s name off the game, it’s still his game and he and his crew are legally entitled to a share of the profits. That’s what people mean when they still intend to buy the game, to make sure Kojima Productions gets their due. To cause the game to tank

Yup. I wasn’t hung up that it wasn’t done by Iga like most people. I just appreciate what Mercury Steam did with the material. I will admit that LoS2 tripped over the finish line and Mirror of Fate was a little flat.

A travesty and a damn shame Konami needs to be petty and try to erase his name off everything. They’re making sure this is the last time I cater to the company. And this is coming from someone who even liked the Lords of Shadow series, lol.

From what I’ve seen of the game it’s going to be a fun ride. Unfortunately for Konami, that ride ends with this game as far as I’m concerned. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

That’s a Wonder Woman in my book.

Woo! You have my thanks, Kotaku.

Quite possibly a dead horse but I’d like to know how a casual (but easily coaxed to frequent), and decidedly non-cancerous commentator gets permamently exonerated from the Grey Kingdom. I’d offer cookies as a bribe...but honestly I’d just eat them.

Dude, I feel your pain. Just let them believe what they want to believe. Anyone with eyes and common sense can see its a new character.

Generally speaking, I loved the car. Especially during the APC battles where you sideswipe the flanking assists - with the slo-mo crashes it felt like an homage to Burnout 3.

Rule of thumb for myself, stick to default on the first run; New Game+ ...all of the skins get a run-by for a segment or two. The Gotham Knight anime skin looks too sick to not try out.

Oh, wow...okay. I ask because D&B is known for those giant Fruit Ninja cabinets, lol.

Your handle is “ninjajuicer” and you support Dave & Busters? If you’re not a master-level troll, then you have no sense of irony.

Man, this kind of backward, out of touch, thinking makes the town from “Footloose” seem like Amsterdam in comparison. Best of luck to Mike.

Sure. Just not in this game.
