True that. And even if you cant appreciate the films from a cinematic perspective, consider the fact that the prequels gave us THIS. And the better parts of Battlefront. And, in a lot of ways, KOTOR. And a ton of other ancillary material that totally redeems the imagery and setting of the prequel films.

Now playing

How I feel right now is more or less on par with this.

That’s possibly the most British thing I’ve ever seen. If Daniel Radcliffe was in the background we’d probably all explode.

I’ve been paying attention. The Battle of Jakku still takes place during the OT era (also, don’t expect me to get that excited that, in a game with five planets, two of them are desert wastelands).

True. Though galactic conquest would be pretty damn boring in a game that only has 4 freaking planets.

Yep. I think it’s a troubling sign when all the biggest surprises during the reveal panel for a game are centered on what’s not in the game rather than what is.

Thanks for the spoiler warning about the biggest movie of the decade. Really classy of you.

Not gonna lie, I kinda still think it would have been glorious if they had made him blonde.

The early-development Halo stuff is soooo fun to watch. The series as it exists now feels so set in stone, that it almost feels apocryphal to see how crazy and different the first game almost was.

!aybe it had something to do with the fact that the first line of her article was "Sorry, bible thumpers?"

This is actually why I think Saints Row went so wrong with their 3rd and especially 4th installments. The appeal of GTA (and of the first two Saints Row games) is that you are placed in a world that greatly resembles our own. The game encourages you to unravel that realism, and in doing so things feel hilariously and

Honestly, I thought the blades sucked. From a design standpoint, they felt claustrophobic (who really thought those arbitrary green margins looked good?), each page was completely separate and felt isolated, and even if you loved them, guess what? You have the mini blades in the current 360 UI. Everyone wins.

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but the blades sucked. Shush. Your cynicism can't ruin this moment for me.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS A REAL MOVIE

Sure it's Telltale, but why are we giving them a free pass on visuals? They're a much bigger, more high profile studio than they've ever been, and they really should start putting some more money into their games visuals. They could be making legitimate pieces of interactive cinema if they wanted to.

Has anybody seen what this game looks like on 360/PS3? I've seen no mentions of it on any site, and as a last-gen console owner I'm really anxious to see how well it holds against the current gen versions.

"Tolkien has become a monster, devoured by his own popularity and absorbed into the absurdity of our time. The chasm between the beauty and seriousness of the work, and what it has become, has overwhelmed me. The commercialization has reduced the aesthetic and philosophical impact of the creation to nothing. There is

I think it's a different situation, because games are intrinsically tied to the hardware on which they're played. Console games that never get made will eventually become an unplayable memory as time goes on and technology progresses. For many games, people are at peace with that, but for the classics like Halo it's
