If they can do something genuinely innovative & exciting with the open world design, then I’m okay with the “2001, but elevated” vibe of the gunplay- because for many, Halo is sort of a genre unto itself within the shooter landscape. The grappling hook is a nice nod to the Supersuit aspect of Master Chief without…
Check out the big brain on Brad!
For me, the excitement comes from the progression of high-fidelity graphics being easier and cheaper to produce over time- which ideally equips more and more small-to-indie studios to produce uncompromised experiences despite a smaller budget, and of course for large studios to do *more* with their budget than just…
...or people just have different perceptions than you.
Both. Everything ever made is bad, everything that’s being made is going to suck, let’s just preemptively start getting bitter about it now.
I think there’s a larger conversation that needs to be had about the “value” of the games we buy.
Just because we grew up only seeing Yoda sit in a hut and occasionally lift things with his mind does not mean that those are the only two things he’s capable of. Don’t blame Battlefront/the prequels/etc for not catering to all of our assumptions.

My big grievance is that the lack of a power wheel forces you to only use the 3 powers that you have mapped to your bumpers- which places a huge restriction on your combat flexibility, and kind of flies in the face of the “classless, open progression” that’s supposed to encourage you to experiment with new powers.
You can pull up a weapon wheel to select weapons. Unlike the original trilogy however, the camera stays paused, so you can’t look around.
White cis-male heterosexual Christian checking in! We did it kinja!
FLOTUS’ arms are toned, sure, but I’ve honestly found anything particularly mesmerizing about them. Ronda’s arms have that impressive meatiness and motion to them, like boulder shaped pistons.
I think Ronda Rousey might be the first time I’ve ever objectified a woman’s arms. Look at them. They’re majestic.
That’s because this is literally set in the same time period as “the Star Wars you used to know”.
Criterion was developing an open word, multi-vehicle stunt game called “Beyond Cars” last I heard, but that was a couple years ago. If we don't see or hear anything from them this E3 I'd guess the project is dead.
Just skip the Padme episodes of you don't like politics.
