If Chevy redesigned the Camaro with the Avista styling, it should sell.

Didn’t have time to read the whole article, but my input thus far is flat rate is a cancer in my industry. It encourages spite and cut-throat competition amongst the techs and writers to the point where a “green” tech won’t ask questions if they aren’t sure of something because they don’t wanna be taking food off of

I’m guessing that the NASA engineers probably didn’t have 70 years of gunk to remove before they failed this goal over a weekend and some beer, though. lol

As someone who manufacturers vehicles for a living - just know that you are likely creating a death trap if you are ever in a major accident. We need to follow FMVSS regulations carefully and your car was crash tested with specific seat anchoring and components. If the seats are not an exact match the airbag, SRS

Patrick...WTF? “New York...nicknamed ‘Motor City’ because of all the taxis...”

There is some great prose in today’s entries. My favorite is probably,

Too much front brake bias would lock front wheels first, not lift the rear tires off the ground. Any racer can tell you that. This is a weight distribution problem only.

“Can’t find the accent so it reads weird even tho I just fucking used it on the word sautéed.”

I remember this kid in college at RIT. He found a way to create an access card that let him into any building on campus.

I always find this amusing... for some reason.

I say publish your BSFC curves and gear ratios and let the customers take it from there. Hopefully you’re an engineer.

Counter-argument: the current MPG system allows an easily comparable metric. I know that the EPA says this car gets 30mpg, this other one 32. Whether or not *I* get that mileage isn’t as important as the comparison between the two.

This is partly V8Supercars fault for selling out the TV rights to Pay-TV.

“If he had any real friends?”

You mean like his family and friends who are grieving? Have you ever lost a loved one? Would you have appreciated jokes about that person’s death within a couple of days after their death? It has nothing to do with any souls. It has to do with not making light of a suicide when there are probably a whole lot of people

I’m pretty sure he means you might tear it completely apart if it’s really stuck on there good. Then your in an even bigger pickle. Like this

This. This right here.

Bleeders are common culprits but It doesn’t end there. It doesn’t take many rounded off nuts/bolts to switch to 6 point only. You can choose to do whatever you want but this is how I read your comment.

You should modify the bleeder socket tip. A 12 point socket is no better than a 12 point box end wrench. If you have 6 point box end wrenches or flare nut wrenches you probably don’t need that clarification. But if you do need that pointed out to you (pun intended), you might want to make specific note not to use 12
