We had a GLC once. It really was a great little car. Carried a ton of stuff, cost almost nothing to repair, ran forever. Succumbed, in the end, to rust, which can happen after 8 salty Canadian winters.

I moved to the U.S. from Canada in 2002 and it took the DMV TWO YEARS almost to the day to give me my f'ing CA license. Every time I showed up at the expiration of yet another 6mo temporary permit, they decided they needed yet another type of ID, or form filled out from some other gov't agency, or something. Bah.

Yes. Ancient catchphrase: "jailhouse lawyer". Prisoners who spend all possible time in the library cooking up lawsuits and appeals.

London's Community Service Volunteers, amongst themselves: "Just sign it, so we can get this ditz off our hands."

Fuck this women-should-cover-their-hair bullshit.

#9! I had a 1980 version of that for a few years. Man, I loved that car. Enough steel in it to make a small tank. Air con like the Antarctic. Trunk big enough for half a dozen dead bodies.

He wouldn't have been allowed to marry a white woman, either. Words fail.

That would make a fantastic James Bond opening. The band is tootling away at the 007 theme, a Bad Guy runs past, one of the bandsmen shoves off his busby and gives chase: it's Bond!

"large trash bags" Heh.

Adorable: maybe. Creepy: definitely.

Where and when would I have to go, what would I have to do, to achieve gender equality in today's world?

I won't hear a word said against Rizzoli. They need the money.

Whole 'nother kind of food fight.

There is NOTHING that would get me to watch the original of this ad. Hurl, just at the thought.

What women can do: have babies. What they can't do: anything else.

No, not that kind of distribution. Warlords, blackmarketeers, inept governments.

Been using this the last few days, really like it. I use my Kindle a lot because of tendinitis - hard to hold a paper book.

There's plenty of food in the world to feed everyone. What's broken is the distribution of it.

Thank you.
