Haven't seen the movie, but the book's ending had WATCH FOR SEQUEL written all over it.

Fuck these guys. I know this isn't a useful comment, it's not original, etc etc, but the anger is blocking the creativity.

Close enough. Please just try to be a little more... mindful. It's much easier on your nearest and dearest.

You're an engineer, aren't you? Said with affection. I've known so many.

My friend broke his hip falling off a poorly-positioned ladder. Surgery.

Chemo sucks. Being dead sucks worse.

Spines are weird. Mine felt much, much better on a waterbed than a regular mattress. Needed to fill it just right, not too full, or it got too hard.

Much tougher. Cat claws would never get through. Plus it would most likely have sheets and blankets on it.

Baffles are interior walls that divide the mattress into compartments. The water can only move within each compartment, not all the from side to side or top to bottom.

I slept on an unbaffled one once, it was awful, total motion-sickness. Then bought one that had properly designed interior baffles to break up the 'waves' - most comfortable mattress ever.

"Just make sure that the parents are keeping them from being disruptive." That's the problem. They don't.

It probably wasn't baffled enough.

Heh. We had a waterbed once. First Cat HATED water and didn't go near it for like 2 years. Then he realised about the heater. Stuck to it like glue forever after.

This is great, but no Reek scenes, ok? Ick.

Our second cat loved olives so much we quit ordering them on pizza. He also loved turkey so much he'd start the singing and dancing as soon as the frozen-solid turkey came out of the freezer. He also used to drag flowers out of vases, leave them on the floor all over the room. Ol' weird Gabby, a sweet but peculiar cat.

"Obama draws in lungful of air. Conservative lose their shit." Getting real old, Connies.

Yes! Including driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, and through roundabouts. FSM bless GPS. Which told us which exit to aim for, ie, 3rd, 4th, 5th.

Winter trip to England. Stuck to the south, to avoid bad weather. Wonderful lack of crowds, especially on the roads. The great houses were mostly closed, but the cathedrals and churches were open. Tower of London in cold drizzle was perfect, very atmospheric. Day trip on Eurostar to Paris, also uncrowded.

"It did not fall into my out-stretched hand" is often the case when it's "I can't find the _____."
