I wish the sound mixing on movies and TV shows would pot down the musical score so we can hear the damn dialogue. It’s a huge problem.

It seems like the music/background sounds are super load, while the dialogue is muted and the actors mumble. I’ve always had a bit of trouble hearing a conversation when there’s a lot of background noise (noisy restaurants and bars), or even when my cousins would whisper to me.

I have hearing loss and my insurance doesn’t cover a hearing aid right now. I watch most things with subtitles (obviously that's not an option at the theater).
