Great, now that the appropriate lip service has been paid he can sail through just like every other hyper-partisan, grossly corrupt, and/or dangerously incompetent nominee.

Thought so, thanks for confirming.  God I fucking hate that guy.

Seriously, that well has been being poisoned since the 50s, and probably long before that too. “Socialism” is a bad word for so many people that don’t actually understand what it means.

McConnell concluded: “Let me make this crystal clear for the hyperventilating hacks who haven’t actually followed this issue. Every single member of the Senate agrees that Russia meddling was real and is real.

I don’t know what’s a worse sign for our country, that republicans are (with a straight face) making the argument that making drugs affordable is socialism, or that their supporters are accepting that reasoning rather than at least consider the possibility that they’re being paid off by big pharma. I mean what kind of

I supported and canvassed for Bernie in 2016 (only to see him railroaded by the DCCC), did the same for McMurray in NY-27 in 2018 (only to see him lose to someone under indictment in my red district), and will continue to support progressives at every level, but it’s hard to not get cynical and discouraged sometimes.

People like AOC and Bernie are the DCCC’s biggest enemy.

They're all racists.

It's sure as hell keeping me constantly stressed anyway.

But if you don’t have family wealth and don’t have a four-year degree—and that’s 70 percent of Americans—well, the future is far less glowing. These Americans haven’t seen a real wage increase in 30 years.

Magats: Sure it costs taxpayers $250 - $300 per day for every single person detained in US concentration camps, and sure they’re not even given the most basic necessities like toothpaste or soap or a place to lie down, and sure many of them are sick or dying, and sure the psychological damage to these children can’t

Thornus267 is right but yours works really well too.

I wish a reporter would ask who “they” is an antecedent for.

All liberals want to do is bash him for being “racist” or “stupid” or “orange” or “bad at governing”, but no one wants to give him credit for his uncanny ability to - completely on the fly - create statistics that are basically impossible (“literally 100 percent of the island itself was watching”) or platitudes that

Why do so many politicians from both parties have such a huge boner for Israel?

It’s not that we’re blaming her for her dad, it’s more that we hate her for being a vapid handbag salesperson who thanks to nepotism now represents our country on a worldwide stage.  Like she could’ve at any point said no thanks this is inappropriate.

Because some of them are family and friends and it’s hard to write them off as a lost cause, even if that’s ultimately how it turns out (and it probably will be).

I think (and hope) that you’re right, and from a larger perspective it bodes well for the future - we can elect more progressives and fewer bigots, and start getting the country back on track with equality.

Exactly, and even if we can offer them something in their best interest like healthcare or better wages or less income inequality, some dipshit republican in power just calls those plans communist and oh look there’s a brown person to hate, and we’re back to square one.

There are of course many factors that led us to this racial divide but I’ve got to think Fox is one of the biggest. They’ve been race baiting for years - I check their website pretty regularly and it’s easy to see how someone who only gets their news from Fox would be terrified of brown people.
