My first job was at a company that bought and closed a division accross the country. They took all the equipment and then tried to hire operators at $14/hr. 75mi outside the area of Chicago, where pay is much better.
That was $1 LESS than I made as an intern. But they were such whiny bitches about how they couldn’t

This is the way.
That horrific story was completely devoid of any compassion or understanding “if” the dog was repeatedly biting people to injury, or mauled a baby. Maybe I would understand if it was suggested by a vet to put the dog down.
But no, it “bit” its owner probably because she was abusing it. And...it killed

Just like any other giant company, they probably farmed out their IT to a vendor.

Absolutely. Company loyalty died in the 70s when MBAs started running companies, taking control from owners and engineers that used to run them.

Oh wow, I don’t understand all the vitriol.
These are dullards compared to today’s standards, but back in the day, there were tons of 300ms and Concordes/Intrepids rolling around. People seemed to like them. And they were more reliable than the big K cars they replaced.
We had a ‘99 LHS that was still chugging along

Not only is Musk a douche nozzle that isn’t allowed to have any of my money. But I’ve sat in a few Tesla Ubers this past year, while car shopping. Damn are they sucky.
They’re not really competitive anymore. They’re at least 5yrs old. The Minimalism interior is a drag.
I’ve shopped MachE’s, 4xe Jeeps, Lucids, BMWs,

Ooo, and before the floor mat hooks were ready, their initial fix was to SAW off the bottom 1in-1.5in of the gas pedal.

I think Jeremy actually said it himself recently, “they’ve done practically everything.”
Might as well stop before it gets insufferable.
Plus he’s old and fat now. Makes for camping in a shitty tent in the desert, really hard.
I’m only 38 and I won’t camp in the woods without real pillows and an air mattress now.

OMG a real life Hornet owner!

Every one of those people have managers.
Back in aerospace, even my group of 200 ppl had other lower managers as team leaders.
During those layoffs, the team leaders would take members of their own team slated for layoff, and do it personally. It would go from 8am to 11am.
It was shitty, but it was at least done face

Sighhhh, yeah. As an engineer, there’s so much I see in Tesla products where they exclaim in muffled screams, that their engineers (who are likely brilliant) have impossible tasks, with impossible deadlines, live probably insufferable lives, and need to bend the laws of physics and calendars to placate their Mad King

I have to imagine that’s what a constant diet of cigarettes does to you over so many decades. As well as the massive amounts of beer to fill the keg above his belt.

Kaleb grilling Jeremy’s ass on the regular is what kept me going with this show. Haha, loved it.

The council’s attitude, which unfortunately undermined their legit reasons, was that they just didn’t like Clarkson and his local antics. It was very personal for them. Which, when you run government, is not the best thing to let cross over into policy.
They do have legit concerns with thousands of visitors a year

I’m sorry, I’m gonna say it. I hate Buick’s new logo.
It just looks like a little Hitler mustache on the fronts of their new cars now.
Which is a shame because I really like the styling of their new models.
The goofy new badge kinda ruins it IMO.

There has to be some truth to that. Because we had an early 90s Dodge and a late 90s Chrysler growing up. They were pretty nice. And then Daimler came along, and whatever plastics they were forced to use, would be too lowbrow for me to even take leftover food home in.

I expect the Pacifica PHEV will still be available in 2040 and will actually be reliable by then too given Chrysler’s traditions.”

Agreed. BMW and RAV4 drivers around me are still the very worst. Teslas are maybe 5th worst?

Tesla is complicated for me. Without them, I strongly believe we would not have the burgoning, robust EV and PHEV market that is underway.
However, the man behind Tesla is such a POS, and I also strongly believe that he is responsible for why Tesla has not been focused on ACTUAL quality. But Musk focuses his

LOL, wow....so many thoughts.
Are they going to screen for vaccines at boarding?
No same sex couples allowed.
I have to imagine there will be no drag brunches onboard.
What does any of this have to do with a ship that’s a decade past its promised due date?
Who’s even going to build this? Is it not actually built yet
