Agreed. Most people I know, including myself, end up working “longer” days when WFH, simply because we would start earlier during a traditional commute time, and often work later, until dinner time. Whereas before that, you had a commute you couldn’t work through.

I watch a lot of CarEdge vids with Ray and Zach.
It’s annoying and sad, but Zach has said if he doesn’t do the click-bait’y doomsday thumbnails, their viewership goes down more than 25% sometimes.

Interestingly, Stellantis might be ahead on this with the handful of idled US plants they have. They shouldn’t have to build anything new. Just re-fit them. Not even new-hires. Just call back existing banked workers.

They do think it’s a world economy, and it makes them super mad, because they think the world is ripping us off. When in reality we’ve been dredging the world for cheap labor and importing lots of cheap crap.

US oil producers already had land grants and permits from the Biden admin. But they refused to drill more or expand refineries, because it would LOWER oil prices. Therefore profits.
There’s no way they’re going to sacrifice their profits just because Mango Mussolini is in charge now.

Maybe that’s not so bad.....our US homes built from stick timber are weak and lame. Especially considering all the naturally violent weather the US gets. And it will only get worse.
Maybe we should build out of more steel, concrete and brick, like virtually every other nation?
