I always thought “these things would be less creepy if they gave them heads.”

“Or anti-clockwise, as the Americans say”

I never had any interest in seeing the first one, but this actually looks really faithful to the cartoon and original movies. With the exception of (shudder) Megan Fox.

I am flabbergasted to find out that Demon Seed is forty-three years old. That’s crazy!

God bless science.

Didn’t PKD actually write a screenplay for it? You’d think Hollywood would jump at that.

The Bully...each issue paints Coppersmith in a different light based on each vigilante’s worldview.

I gotta agree, I love the looseness of it.

Jeremy Irons is 68. An older Batfleck could be what, 45? That would make Alfred 23 when Bruce is born and probably in his late 20s when the Waynes were killed.

I don’t think the AFR showed Hal the Entertainment. His condition began near the end of the book when Pemulis’ stash of DMZ went missing — the popular theory is that Himself’s ghost drugged Hal’s toothbrush. Hal’s symptoms are similar to the symptoms of the other DMZ overdose case (the one who sang Ethel Merman songs).

Wait, you mean it’s NOT a bit? Really? Either way it’s amazing.

Looks like Supes is rocking some Mascara here.

I don’t think bringing it to America will be a problem, as long as they keep it bizarre and convoluted. If they turn it into another cookie cutter “supernatural procedural”, it’ll suck for sure.

Oh, McDormand would be perfect! If that’s true then I’m excited.

The atmosphere of Ex Machina perfectly matches this story. Great choice for director.

Also, the psychologist is definitely supposed to be an older woman. Thompson looks better for the anthropologist, with Portman being the biologist.

I haven’t seen either new Trek movie yet and probably won’t get around to it anytime soon, but I’m curious how they worked Sabotage into the first one? Is Kirk really into centuries-old music or something?

Looks pretty good, but I’m most interested in that synth soundtrack.

This looks good, but I think a large portion of my excitement will be just wanting to spot connections to the Potter books.

Have to disagree with you on the second point. Grandpre’s covers had a strong sense of design and the typography was created for the image rather than just slapped overtop of the illustration. Kibuishi’s art was competent but uninspired.
