sorry your parents stressed you out about it. no stress is required, your parents did you a disservice. my 17 & 18yo kids get it, sans stress.

as a cyclist myself this boils my blood. every place I’ve lived (MD, VA, CO and IL) has had laws about biking on the road (I’ve checked) and it goes like this: on the sidewalk a cyclist obeys pedestrian laws, including crosswalk use and the like. If the cyclist chooses to bike on the road, then they are subject to the…
those little desiccant packs that absorb moisture (and say “do not eat” on them) have so many excellent uses. gym bag is one, travel toiletry bag is another.
Law enforcement of all types have somehow corrupted “sir” and “ma’am” from terms of respect to the opposite; terms that apply to suspects and anyone not law enforcement. In a way, it’s entertaining to see their disdain when using them (They think they’re so clever!)
“anything that plugs in”
I’ve never even had a problem with gas in my snowblower which sits for the better part of a year and fires right up every time. And this thing is a dinosaur that I’ve had for 10 years, no idea how old it was when I bought it from my electrician.
I’ve done P90x a few times and therefore Tony Horton’s voice rides around in my head. One of his quotes in one of the workouts: “Most people stop way too soon, before they need to” (when experiencing exercise fatigue / discomfort).
2022 was my year: lost 85lb. I started running from scratch (had never ran before) and did two half marathons, a mud run and an 8k. So follow my advice at your own risk, but for my money this is where it’s at:
from your link:
duckduckgo itself uses results from google, and they pride themselves on it (or at least they state it very publicly).
I think it was TFA where they paid homage to this scene by having a stormtrooper bonk his head in similar fashion going back into a ship.
I hope you realize by “we” you mean Americans (of which I am one). It still puzzles me to this day why we’re so puritanical. Surely religion is at least partly to blame. It’s definitely time for us to get our heads out of our behinds.
Bill, my mom lives around the corner and regularly shows up to my house unannounced, walking right in without knocking. She knows the contents of my bedroom closets better than I do so yeah, I’ve got an intrusive mother and my wife deserves a @#$#@ award for putting up with her. I do not make my bed.
I get where you’re coming from on most of them, but I feel like you crossed a bit of a line when you started telling me how many political signs I’m allowed to have in my yard. MYOB, and sorry not sorry if my signs offend you.
Maybe “heavy traffic below 40 mph on divided highways” is “extremely limited” where you live, but it’s my friggin life and where all the stress happens. that’s EXACTLY the situation I’d like automation to take off my hands.
McBean, if you knew me you would know for yourself that there’s truly no judgement here. You’re fabricating that out of your own mind, but I’ll stop short of speculating why. I’m just presenting other perspectives that might broaden one’s worldview. I find quite interesting how visceral your responses have been.
damn bro, sorry your life’s got you so hostile. it’s true I missed the camper and hay hauling in my first response. I did indeed ignore the hay in my 2nd post after you pointed it out because that’s obviously a job for a larger vehicle. Doesn’t have to be your daily driver though, if you’re being honest. There’s state…
sorry bud, glamping isn’t my thing so I got no words of wisdom for you on the camper. Plenty of room in my daily for a cooler, tent, even scuba gear and tanks, and everything else I need to have a fun outdoors trips. I alternate between the back and top for bikes/skis/snowboards. And this is for a family of 4.
links to tictok, eh? interesting! I would have sworn any reputable site would choose differently here in Jan of 2023.
another perspective: everything on your list I routinely accomplish with a non-pickup truck with 1 exception: hauling tires. When I have such a need, I’ll rent a home depot truck to get stuff around, and them I’m not driving a pickup unnecessarily the other 360 days of the year.
