I hear ya. I’m from Baltimore and I’ve lost untold fortunes and bets on them Os. Still love em though.
fun tip: mental math is also very effective at distracting your mind when you REALLY have to pee... I’ve forgotten the details but it’s math specifically because of the location / areas of the brain involved.
They meet the definition of solid wood, but I’d guess they were pine, or some other lightweight wood. Them being so lightweight is less noticeable on the smaller doors, and I’ve no problem with the doors that have glass in them - they are excellent - but the larger doors I put on my pantry shelves are lightweight and…
nice comment.
see now, IMO the single-rail mounting system for the Ikea cabinets is a feature that helps overcome non-straight rooms, moreso than other single-hung custom cabinets. You measure and place rails that go the length of your cabinets, and then just attach the cabinets to the already straight and level rails, easy peezy. …
I’ve been waiting for a few hours - can’t watch videos at work. Nobody’s gonna put the 5 tips in a comment?
2 years ago I did an Ikea kitchen. and our kitchen is on the larger side. No idea where the “10 cabinets in 8 hours” number came from in the article, but I hope no one is actually that slow. This article is mostly right, though - I’m a DIYer and the kitchen was a BIG project. Totally agree with EvilMonkey about the…
plenty is very accurate. we’re just regular people just like those around your office at work, and there’s just as much gossip. we just happen to have medical training and work in a hospital instead. and most of us are professional enough that you’d never know. that said, I’ve not heard hardly any of the terms listed…
Amen. For the sole reason that Chevy puts the radio volume controls on the RIGHT side of the steering wheel. My right hand can already reach the radio itself; clearly, objectively, the volume controls belong on the LEFT. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
Nissan gets a lifetime pass from me since I’m convinced my ‘98 Maxima saved my life when that texter ran their red light and t-boned me directly in my driver’s door. One emergency abdominal surgery and a healed c2 vertebrae later, Nissan gets to stay and play IMO.
It IS getting harder to find! I wound up doing an online order for a Target in the next town over to get my most recent 2 boxes! Really hope it’s just a victim of the latest supply issues, and manufacturers aren’t ramping down production because powder makes them the least margin.
Fair enough. And before anyone gets the wrong idea, the powder detergent works just as well, if not better, than the liquid. When I did use liquid the performance was not improved at all. Obviously the variable at the heart of this “no pre-rinse” situation lies elsewhere.
I appreciate the discourse we’re having here so I hesitate to introduce a barb, but I have to take issue with your ambiguity: how can you type “it’s hard to say” when choosing between renewable energy and one of those thick-walled single-use plastic jugs that your liquid detergent comes in???
The 2 main reasons I won’t use liquid:
1. single use plastic container
2. additional shipping weight requires more fuel
oh, for sure: I won’t allow chunks of food to go in because I don’t want to clean them out of the filter later. For me, “no pre-rinse” means a fork scrape into the compost bin, but no water used. And I’m having no success at all despite multiple articles like this and an earnest effort to get these purported results.
just as you have your opinion (that I happen to agree with), let others have theirs.
Despite getting older EVERY FRIGGIN YEAR I still try to keep my mind pliable enough to embrace new ideas. I have tried, tried, tried to not pre-rinse my dishes and despite having a modern dishwasher (and a higher-end one at that) the dishes do. not. come. out. clean. That is despite getting the hot water going at the…
Just a reminder: Hollywood’s only goal is to make money. They make what we pay to see.
I daresay if you spend the same amount of money on an android tablet as you do an apple one, your experience would be much much closer. Being humans, we can’t help but flinch at high prices and maybe lowball our purchase; and the variety of android devices allows for a huge spectrum of devices and performance,…
