Was in a backup on eastbound I-88 in Chicago this morning; when I passed a tesla was on the shoulder facing the wrong direction being loaded onto a flatbed right at the toll underpass. A little banged up but nothing major; I would have guessed it was drivable if not for it being winched onto a tow truck.

I would actually watch racing if they did that.

A couple years ago the insurance company of the person that hit my car sent me to Hertz for the rental during repairs. Between two Hertz locations and many, many phonecalls over 2 weeks, I couldn’t get into a car. Not a single person I talked to at Hertz gave a sh!t, they couldn’t help me for one reason or another.

I take your point, but I’m soured by some old dude ranting on nextdoor about this very thing; telling all his neighbors to park in their garages and not in their own driveways. I think it’s too far to tell someone how to use their property, what goes in each room of their house, etc...

clicked on this article because i’d love to read it, but it’s.... audio only??!   i’m at work, can’t do speakers.   booooooooooooo     please provide alternative media, or at least a transcript!

ooooooh. insurance fraud is gonna sting. I wonder if he was smart enough to not make a claim? I’ve only read this article so far, but the plane being in a dismal state of disrepair does make it easy to imagine this simpleton crashing it for the money.

I figure that’s to be expected when the arbitrary goals are used to determine who gets the education budget money.  Everyone that was doing it the “right way” lost out a long time ago.

You have good experiences using CVS Specialty?!? If I were to rank “worst mail order pharmacies” I would put alliance at the top and CVS as a close second - but maybe the CVS Specialty I deal with (“specialty” = expensive chemo meds, not insulin) is different than vanilla CVS mail order. I literally recommend ANY mail

Re-read, toecheese. I didn’t compare eggs to vaccines. I likened the rationalization; the thought process.   Flawed reasoning transcends the acute issue.

As soon as you said you were using Walgreens Specialty / AllianceRx, it made sense. I assume you have BCBS insurance and are required to use them? I’m so sorry. I have to deal with them regularly (I actually work for an MD office / chemo infusion center) and I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy. Seriously, see if

I think that’s why performance is reported as grades and not badges.

I greatly enjoy driving stick, and have always bought them when I can. That said, your dad’s view is stuck in the past. It’s not that way anymore, esp as the article points out electrics are right around the corner.

curious: how did you determine the cause of the insulin going bad was storage at the pharmacy? (I’m a pharmacist so I take this personally, nevermind that I have never heard of insulin turning to jelly because of improper storage - but I’m always interested to learn!  Please elaborate!)

Afinitor works out to approx $714 per pill ($20k cash price for #28) so consider yourself lucky!

Can’t watch videos at work.  If anyone’s listening, less videos please.

ah, take it easy on ‘em.  so it’s a slow news day.  whaddayado when lifehacker editors say you owe them an article by 10am?

your rationalization sounds a lot like the mental gymnastics done by anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers.   just an observation.

Why a 3D map? It’s not flying, it’s only navigating 2d space.

So what’s a more reliable alternative to CR?
