I've worked at a chicken farm and believe me, I am pretty sure muscle atrophy due to disuse is already a problem.

if it hasn't changed yet then that's how it is in Sweden and Iceland. It's legal to download copyrighted material but illegal to share.

because you can't DIY a laptop from scratch (well, you can, but it proves to be quite challenging). In my case I would love to make this stand not for the sake of saving money, but for the joy of making it myself.

It's integrated into the system, that's the difference.

Although I haven't tested it, I am pretty sure it supports Facebook chat as it supports Jabber/XMMP just like iChat.

you are forgetting one tiny little detail. Apple users throw away "old" (1 to 2 years old) macs and iPhones/Pads when they buy the latest one. ;)

I'm 24 and I remember the old modem days like it was only 2 years ago...

only 2 years ago, I was stuck on 128kbps ISDN where I payed a monthly fee of around 20 bucks. Plus megabyte fee (if I surpassed 100 megs) and a hourly fee (which I can't remember how much it was). By only staying online for 3-4 hours a day I was sometimes forced to pay over 300 to 400 bucks a month.

Couple of years ago my backup system failed me. I simply have an archive HD and a backup HD, all stuff from previous years is moved to archive HD in chronological order and then the backup HD takes regular (at that time, daily, but now a days, hourly) backups of my main HD and the archive HD. One day, the backup HD

I say the best way to backup is to make 5 local copies, then take one backup to a friend's place and another to your parent's place. Fly a third backup to the other side of the world where you will take 4 copies of that and... *sarcasm*

thank you. Thought at first it was a place in south eastern iceland as it reminded me of some photos I had seen from there

Where is this hill/mountain located?

Not that I have delved deep into these stories but what I've heard is that he got rich of plenty of other things than megaupload and has a long record of fraud and various other things. That might be what the article author is referring to.

I'm not trying to be a rebel or something, but my old Nokia dumb phone is still functioning. When it will die I think I will most likely get some kind of a smartphone. But something tells me my phone will at least last 1-2 more years.

as a creator of content (musician and sound designer) and slowly working my way towards making a living off it I simply say that the SOPA/PIPA law scares the hell out of me.

sorry about late reply, i don't log on very often. Very good definition although the problem I find with it is that it varies greatly between people given the fact that different things prompt emotional responses for us. For example, for me a certain song kicks me into an emotional overdrive while it does absolutely

I think the problem with how people define art is that for some (most) people art is synonym for "nice work" or "beauty" or any other words like that. The problem is that we all perceive the world in different ways making this word "art" slightly flawed, and after thousands of nasty arguments about this subject in art

Actually, they are art. I think it goes without doubt that that is an artist. (and I can't see how you can call it mass produced given the fact that he is actually making them in his hands)

The problem with a pencil and a portable sketchbook is that the drawing area is too small, you don't get the possibility of colors... I could go on like this for ages. But still I always keep my little sketchbook on me along with a pencil. Sure, I could bring the whole painting kit and a canvas but that sort of beats
