And then there's the glorious kind of fanfiction that kind of makes you wish the author had pulled a Cassandra Clare on and copy/pasted different names on it to publish it the traditional way.

The Harry Potter 'verse is only a closed 'verse if Rowling keeps it that way. Because quite honestly? Some of the best stories (traditionally published or otherwise) I've ever read were set in the Harry Potter world.

I didn't know he had been cast in that. That's great! (And indeed highly unlikely to flop.)

Be still my heart. I'd rather see this than another Firefly movie. Blasphemy, I know, but the interview Tim Minear and Craig Silverstein gave about the direction they wanted to take the plot in just wasn't enough closure for me.
