The only thing worse than the internet is internet activism.

I figured they didn’t want to look like they had ‘jumped the line’. I was also surprised that it was this late.

My first thought was she’s anti-vax... My second (and more realistic) thought was she’s early days pregnant. Because she could have got her vaccination many many weeks ago in the UK without looking like she’s cutting in line (William too, and I wonder if they paused for him because it would draw attention to her not

These are some fuckin’ cringey, patronizing, asinine Tweets quoted above. The one about “[m]ay she one day lead us all[,]” is particularly dismaying. First, and setting aside the fact that it is 100% not this little girl’s job to save us, this comment basically makes her into a prop in some grand progress narrative.

Kate and William (and Meghan and Harry if they were in the UK) should have actually had their shots a while ago (for healthy adults of their age, they’ve been able to book for well over a month, at one point I was worried Kate was anti-vax as William got his before her and she's older) and the UK vaccination rate has

Kate gets shot, but Royal Family worries about the Queen’s new suitors.  Are they gold-diggers?

Hundreds inconvenienced by Megan’s Publicity stunt.

I’m guessing that Meghan and Harry, being in the US, have probably gotten both their shots already? Surprised the press haven’t had a field day with that.... “The Megxit duo are vaccine tourists, thumbing their nose at the British public!

Selfish Megan uses vaccination clinic to show off sweatshop produced fashion.

“Rich woman shuts down entire museum in blatant Karen moment!”

Black don’t crack.

This photograph is also just not very good, and certainly undeserving of the breathless praise so many people are projecting onto it.

Yes! I think this is what really rubbed me the wrong way over this whole spectacle. What happened to this girl is a tragedy. While I appreciate the sentiment behind the reaction to this photo, her grief is real and she deserves the time, space and privacy to process it. Grief is ugly and we need to let it be ugly.

I saw so many people who were either like “You have to do thing to your social media or you don’t support black lives!” but it was almost entirely white people.

I really hate that you’re right about this. It’s true even within my own liberal circles.

I hope the folks that are willing to gush over the photo, are also willing to call by phone and email their public officials, at the local, state and federal level, to challenge these anti-voting rights laws, and to demand support for all new police reform laws.

Oh my god, that last line so much! She's a child, not a saint! Nor should she be expected to be a saint! Whether she goes on into a career of activism or becomes a waitress at Applebee's, she's a human being who should just get to live a normal life.

Thanks for this article. it is both gross and disappointing to see the ‘fanfictioning’ of a little girl’s grief. But I suppose I should only be surprised that I’m surprised at this point. I think everyone needs to realize how crushingly sad this photo really is. Not only does Gianna need to navigate her grief in a

If there is a God may they grant Gianna some semblance of a normal life, and may the media grant her privacy.

The parasocial delusions of so many liberals is absolutely ASTOUNDING to witness...
