Bigger Sick II: The Resickening

I'm kinda mad that Emily V. Gordon doesn't also star as herself, but that's because I have a crush on Emily V. Gordon, so it's not a major objection.

The shark was calling from inside the house?

Agreed. With the state of the music industry, I really can't blame a band for taking a steady, well paying gig. Furthermore, I think the gig has allowed to Roots to put out ambitious, challenging, political records without worrying too much about sales.

I also have a go-to sesame noodle recipe that I've been tweaking for a while. Agreed: the combination of peanut butter and tahini is critical. My recipe is quite similar to this, but includes cilantro as well as some Chinese black vinegar.

Well. The show was terrible, but based on the fact that it seemed to be *constantly* on TV (in syndication) I assumed that the show had a big audience. I assumed it was going to persist for another 10 years. I'm really confused.

As a long time fan of Aimee Mann, I've often felt that her songs could benefit from more dynamic production. On those rare occasions where she rocks out, the results are pretty awesome. Worst Human League side-project ever.

Back in the day I kinda respected these guys as producers/remixers. This was back when Charli XCX was an indie artist.

Malcolm Tucker from the The Thick of It.

I would have gone with "Wreck-It Ralph 2: Wrecked It? He Nearly Killed It!" but this works too.

At least Snapchat's interface is really transparent and intuitive.

With this show, even the episodes that don't have a big comedic payoff still have enough hilarious moments to make them totally worth watching.

Are we starting to see, for want of a more clever term, the Netflixification of mainstream TV? In the past, most pilot/first episodes of shows have been super heavy-handed in terms of exposition. Keeping important information in your pocket wasn't an option, because if your audience wasn't hooked by episode 3, you

I lean towards vegemite only because it seems to be a little more spreadable. But either Marmite or Vegemite + butter and in-season tomatoes is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time.

Holy crap I had no idea they were related.

Rick Bayless also has a really good Guac recipe that replaces the tomatoes with roasted tomatillos. It's a really nice option when good tomatoes aren't available.

His hair makes him look like a Lego™ figurine.

Despite the dodgy band name, T-Rextasy is delightful all-gurl indie pop: One of my favorite singles of the year is their "I Wanna Be A Punk Rocker": https://www.youtube.com/wat…
