Jeez, I'd kill for a Mass Effect console =p
Yeah, I've been using the Drake sword and trying to lure him up the stairs and do plunging attacks, but somehow he always ends up killing me. Is it even possible to have fireballs at that stage without starting as a Pyromancer?
I am still stuck on that fight right now =(
You nailed the two major things that put me off the series. I've only actually played the first game, and the antagonists' motivation was so unclear that it actively harmed my comprehension of the story. Some of it was so abstracted that it was hard to work out what the cause and effect was.
I get the sense you find yourself defending the story a lot.
God, it's still incomprehensible even when it's simplified. I used to think it was too complex but now I'm pretty sure it's just nonsense.
'Lego sexist'? Perfectly self-explanatory!
Particularly in the chest area, yeah.
Wait, I'm pretty sure you CAN beat MGS3 without pulling the trigger at the end. You can even miss on purpose!
I just want to know if they lost a load of the NMS code. That's irreplaceable. On the other hand, he seems confident they can release exactly the game they'd envisioned, so that's the main thing.
Yeah, that's my feeling on it. Pursuing an ideology is one thing, but deliberately ignoring the competition only ensures you'll release a worse product to the public. I can't get behind a company with that mentality.
Where the hell is the zapper trigger? This is the worst list I've ever seen, go to jail Kotaku, never speak to me again
Agreed.
To be honest, I want to play the game they think they're talking about. There's speculation the Hyrule Warriors protagonist is actually a female Link. I don't think it actually will be, but I'd love if it turned out to be true!
It's funny, I just checked it out on a whim an hour ago and got it! Thanks for telling me though, that's really nice of you =)
I feel like great games almost necessarily have to be small and coherent. Journey is classic in the same way that Super Mario Bros is; it does exactly what it sets out to do and no more. It also shows how to incorporate a great story into a game: by having the gameplay be the main method of telling it.
Between my mac and my consoles I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything anyway. Bar Stanley Parable and Nitronic Rush I've never found myself unable to play something I'm interested in, and Stanley Parable should be ported soon, I expect.
I could complain about them all day, but I'd be treating them with much more attention than they deserve. They were a disgrace.
The only people who put any effort into VGX were the game devs. They clearly wanted it to be special and share their cool stuff, but nobody else cared about the event at all. That was a horrible three hours. They just turned up with no idea what they were supposed to do and wasted everyone's time. It's meant to be a…
