Cheers to Seth Meyers for finally being nominated. Can’t believe they kept losing to James Corden all these years. John Oliver will win anyway.

Ill go with Midnight Mass and I Think You Should Leave being the biggest snubs.

Selena Gomez doesn’t deserve anything for that horrific wooden acting.

Right? I got married last year, and yes it was extremely frustrating to be expected to have an opinion on things like what color the table numbers should be when there was no such expectation on my husband - but traumatizing? To call any of this traumatizing is absurd.

Saying “trauma is something our body does to us” is just so ... perfectly yuppie bougie progressive.

Calling Richard Feinstein just an accountant is misleading though. He’s not down at the H&R Block doing your taxes. He’s been business manager for huge musicians like Madonna and Maroon 5. That absolutely gives you sufficient resources and connections to have 30 legs up on your normal person.

I know the people featured in this story are mostly religious but I find American women in general, even the most progressive, stick to these traditions as well, for reasons I’ve never understood but that are probably tied into keeping up appearances, doing what’s expected, and also the consumerism and capitalism

I’m not big on combining live albums with studio recordings on lists like this, it just muddies the value of the ranking too much as it’s just double dipping on their best songs. Like, the live versions of Satisfaction or Brown Sugar is better than anything on Steel Wheels, so this live album is better than that album?

Has she ever claimed not to be? She’s Italian and Jewish: The weirder thing would be if she were super-pale.

More evidence that after 60 years, the Stones still don’t have as good a back catalogue as The Beatles amassed in just 8.

Swap it - or just about anything - in in place of Dirty Work. This reappraisal attempt is some bullshit hot-takery.

You could literally just change the one word and it would work.

I think I can help:
It takes place on Tattooine.

Re: Stray Observation 2 = Crime Scene Techs don’t clean crime scenes. There are companies that are specially hired to do that (I had a friend who worked for one of these “biological cleaning” companies... it’s a horrible job). But if you don’t hire someone to do it, then - yup - you’re cleaning up the scene as soon as

I’ve said it in a reply before, I mostly know Amy Schumer from where she randomly pops-up elsewhere, like she did here, but her Life & Beth on Hulu was surprisingly enjoyable. It’s real freaking close to being FX good.

The other characters’ horrified reactions to Amy Schumer are kind of making those scenes work for me

she comes from an extremely wealthy and privileged family and those people get to do whatever they want whether they’re good at it or not.

As soon as they juxtaposed the painting and the art gallery, I turned to my wife and said that the seemingly incidental is intentional.

I mean, next-day episode recaps that cover the entire plot have been de rigeur for nearly fifteen years now, but go off, king.

I’m charmed, disarmed and agog at another show about people who live in fancy NYC apartments with no apparent means of support
