I’d argue that Midge is the villain of the series.
I’d argue that Midge is the villain of the series.
I’ve met Mike a couple of times after shows, and he’s always been very nice.
This show isn’t very good, because the art isn’t very good. It’s a real stretch to tie most of the art back to the original assignment, and it’s pretty hard to make compelling work in about 10 hours.
It’s hard to do a show about a family because you have to keep inventing reasons for the kids not to leave, even though they’re all adults. I think the daughter is supposed to be in college but she still lives in the mom’s house with her husband and kid. The goofball son is in med school (!?!) but still lives in the…
At a very high level, yes. There are other considerations. It can have enough viewers for it to be justifiable — if the show is cheaply made and enough viewers watch it, they’ll usually keep it. Not everything has to be a #1 smash hit, but shows do have to earn their keep. The Mandalorian is expensive to make, but…
I’ll give it my best shot!! As you know, if nobody is watching a streaming show, or if not enough people are watching to justify the cost, it gets axed. They’ll keep some loss leaders around if they’ve got critical buzz, like Andor.
I don’t understand how this list can have several B-sides, but no room for But Not Tonight.
Movies aren’t doing as well, but TV is doing worse. Disney is taking a bath on Disney+. The SW movies are still making money (just not as much money as Disney wants). Andor and the Bad Batch are actually money losers.
I was hoping for John the Revelator, but the lack of But Not Tonight is kind of criminal.
The real problem is it’s hard to create an album as good as Rumours. Ask Fleetwood Mac.
I’d put “All that You Can’t Leave Behind” as one of their greats. It holds together as a whole album.
I know people think Bono is an asshole, but I think he’s really earnest in his struggle with how to use his wealth and status to effect positive change in the world.

Literally none of those fees go to the band. The Facility Charge goes to the venue. The service fee goes to TicketMaster:
That’s true to a point. Having worked on a few different reality shows, I can say that you can’t keep up a character (good or bad) when you’re being filmed 24/7. Of course with editing, you can make anyone look bad, and the producers can ask very leading questions during production to get a reaction out of you, but if…
Their corporate culture is very Christian conservative. A few years ago, my company did work for them, and suggested I and my lesbian manager work on the account. We were doing very well in the interview process, they loved our work, until Chik fil A requested access to ALL of our social media because, “We’re like a…
This sounds like a better episode than the one we got (and a better review, quite frankly).
They serve a drink in a cup that looks like a monkey’s head. I forget what it’s called, but I do have the cup in my kitchen somewhere.
All she has to do is sign off on a Jukebox Musical, and she’ll walk away with 3 or 4 Tonys.
THANK YOU! Is he not talking to himself any more?
