The fact remains that it was flagged though... I agree it wasn't dirty or malicious. It definitely did not warrant a fine. the article just stated it he was flagged on it, and whether that flag is right or wrong, it goes into the record book as illegal. Good conversation though.

Whether he actually did something illegal or not, he was flagged for doing something illegal. The history books will always show that hit as illegal, even if it wasn't. So was it illegal? Yes. In football there are no retroactive take backs on flags.
