“ Kevin Mchale, Yao Ming, or Zydrunas Ilgauskas”

...or maybe this is some kind of sick, extended native advertising campaign for Hormel?

Not only that, but the kid Carter used his new found fame to sell tshirts to a charity he cares about. This may have been the worst take ever published on deadspin.

I’m about one of the snarkiest contrarian assholes in the western part of the United States, and even I rolled my eyes a this post.

It’s too widely available and well known, therefore can no longer be good. It’s a craft beer law.

I’m surprised this wasn’t the Top (Cow) comment.

These two guys can’t go back to working with each other, right? If Hurley quits, I wonder if he could sue the company for creating a hostile work environment when all he did was take advantage of the company’s policy.

You could have still gotten your point across just as effectively without making it seem like US Bank Arena is some unused trash dump. The arena has been around since the 70s and given its location and it being one of the few indoor arenas around, it’s still very active.

A contrarian on the Internet who dislikes popular things? Now I’ve seen everything!

Eat Arby’s.

No Bucks retrospective is complete until Brad Lohaus makes an appearance.

The teams that rarely change are the ones that have the most valuable brands. The Redskins are the third most valuable franchise in the NFL. (crazy, I know!). They have no reason to change.

The Redskins, believe it or not, are one of the most valuable brands in professional sports. It would take several generations and an insane amount of money to create a new name that could generate the same amount of brand recognition, value, and loyalty.

Shout out to the dude at 1:30 who was playing hooky from work and wanted to avoid getting caught.

Do yourself a favor and spend the two minutes it takes to look up the Pirates name origin on Wikipedia. The name derives from the franchise trolling the American Association, who accused them of stealing players. It’s a good name.

Can you better explain your comment of “devoid of star talent?”

I feel like you’re not giving Oklahoma enough credit here. The only people who travel there either work in oil & gas or they’re related to Russell Westbrook.

It’s predicated on movement of the ball and players and actually requires superstars to play within the confines of a system to create spacing for everyone. Jackson’s brilliance came in getting exceptional players like Jordan, Pippen, Bryant and O’Neal to buy in to it to make it work.

This is because so many people treat their Facebook page like they are a public relations firm and need to provide a press release to the masses.

I’ve used it on people so much that my entire feed is now made up of the Pittsburgh Steelers team page and a local restaurant I really like.
