I’ve been a reader of Deadspin since the Leitch days. I’ll admit I haven’t been a fan of the political slant this site has taken over the past couple of years.

The number of ads embedded in an article using mobile is crazy. Last week’s Jambaroo had no less than a dozen ads, all of which loaded very slowly and caused my old phone to get hot trying to process all of their tracking cookies.

Sorry but I just don’t agree with the premise that MLB teams want fewer teams because they are lazy. At some point the talent pool is tapped out. They reach a limit where it’s not worth spending more money on lottery tickets with even worse odds.

But there’s a cap of the marginal return an MLB team gets with more players in their system. By your logic, why shouldn’t every team add even more MiLB teams so they can buy more cheap lottery tickets?

Guy Fieri as team chef?

I wonder if the controller is going to be Sony’s primary marketing focus leading up to the release. Otherwise, the tech improvements, while significant to hardcore gamers, aren’t going to be all that easy for the average consumer to understand or appreciate.

There were 12 ads inserted into the text of this article. That seems...excessive.

Social media has ruined our society.

Quartz may not be your preferred movement but it has an important place in horological history. Don’t be that guy. Watch snobbery makes the hobby far less fun.

Nothing wrong with a coach actually analyzing the game and breaking down key plays to help educate the audience.

I’m not suggesting this wasn’t a colossal fuck up, but I don’t think there was an intent to “own the libs” here. They had an unexpected doubleheader from a rainout the day before. Some 19 year old intern making minimum wage was probably told “find some stuff to put up on the board to kill some time,” and they just

There’s going to be a mini version coming out later this year, but the potential “pro” version still hasn’t been officially announced.  I don’t think the standard model is going to go away or going to be reduced in price any time soon.

I’m not a big fan of Sonic. I also never played Pokemon and know little about it.

Baseball has a complicated problem on their hands, in that nearly half the teams in the league are simply not trying to win this year.

The counter argument the league would make is twofold: (1) it makes it even harder on small market teams to be competitive; and (2) it's difficult for teams to justify their minor league system - why spend so much time and money developing talent if the return becomes too small?

FYI, Gronk also famously lives off his endorsement money, so I wouldn’t say that is a sign of being incredibly intelligent.

Shaq: “I believe in everything I endorse”

This is because most ads are written by inexperienced copywriters who get an order saying “insurance company/baseball” and they just do the laziest solution.

I understand Tom cares a lot about Drew and wouldn’t feel right without referencing him in a column he’s taking over. But at the same time, this whole “something is terribly wrong with someone we all care about, we aren’t going to tell you what’s going on, but we’re going to do his column and talk about him like he’s

You’ve got “Your heart is full of unwashed socks” at #13?? I haven’t seen a ranking this bad since Marchman’s cereals. This site has really gone downhill.
