Because most writers are self-hating twerps.

The tone looks much lighter than Man of Steel, but Eisenberg's camping it up and the "every character evar being introduced" vibe seem like major waring signs.

And it's not really very good, compared to the versions we've gotten in the past from people like Byrne and Morrison.

I think th "it's just an act" thing goes out the window when he's also doing that in all his "I'm the villain, gloating about all of this" scenes. If he were like that at the party but then turned cold and calculating afterwards, sure…but this trailer makes it looks like how he's playing the character period.

How about "advertisements?" We could even use a short form, like "verts" or "ments"…or some other syllable in the word.

He's giving his shares to an organization structured as an LLC, not as a charity, and its stated goals include things like "policy advocacy" and so forth. One of the stated goals on the Facebook page is "We must build technology to make change…most progress comes from productivity gains through innovation."

He's baring his soul! Get him!

I read it as "croc."

That's what the character has turned into, but Mad Love is a helluva good story, and the two Harley-solo episodes of the Animated Series are great throwbacks to classic screwball comedies.

The Animated Series was great, but Dini's comics run was a mixed bag. PI Riddler and the Penguin were brilliant, but the new Ventriloquist, the Poison Ivy story, and some other bits were middling to poor.

As song title puns go, that was gratifylngly obscure.

Morrissey can do it *all* the different ways. He'll come over. He'll come over at *night*!

"Dear Penthouse, I never believed things like this really happened, but the other day I answered an ad for a vocalist in a rock band, and who should appear at the door but Johnny Marr!"

Literal fucking about, then.

"And then Aquaman denied Kal-El three times before the sea urchin crowed."

Not to mention Will Smith trying to play a laconic, dead-eyed sociopath like Deadshot by being quippy and lighthearted.

It's a gritty legal drama about their custody fight over Robin and Jimmy Olsen.

"If we double-team him, Luthor will go down…hard!"

Will Force is…The Last Man on Earth!

I feel so nauseous it's like Everything's Gone Green.
