I haven't seen the movie itself, as my library system has only one copy, on VHS, no less.

The Americans and The Goldbergs are definitely polar opposites on how to do that time period on screen.

Heh, I just belatedly watched the pilot episode of The Americans and was surprised by how cheap and garish it was. A perfect example of a show that's redeemed from rather crappy production values by not having to pull its punches on its subject matter.

But could Winona Ryder still star in it?
