I'm with you. X6M all day or GTFO. The pure fuck you'edness of that vehicle is remarkable. I'm sans dog(s) so once I hit the lotto, I'll lend it to you.

Dear lord, I AM SO SORRY. I wish there was some way I could make this grave injustice up to you. You deserve SO MUCH BETTER than this sort of shabby treatment, and I am truly ashamed. Tell you what — I'll arrange for ten poster-sized, high quality photographs of each decklid in question taken, mounted and framed just

Don't be scared of the more expensive maintenance schedules, this one is freaking worth it.

They both have pop-up headlights and similar character lines in the hood. Other than that, they look nothing alike.

Step 1.5:

Unless it is a Jaguar, instead watch as your timing chain tensioner fails with no provocation.

Unless you buy VW. They switched to a timing chain on their 2.0T and owners have been suffering chain tensioner failures.

Adding to the list of chains to avoid 05.5-06 (?) VW 2.5 L engines. 90,000 miles, timing chain stretch.

Timing chain guides wear out and chains stretch out. If you don't know this and think you're immune from servicing the timing chain, it's going to break eventually and you'll be in the same situation.
