Any chance that pushing the button just made the lights illuminate?
I bet now You regret You've even asked.
But it won't be the only one. Because the guy after will go "oh, I want a manual too" and get it for a 1/10th of the cost the first guy paid. I doubt anyone in their right mind would will be willing to do this, unless there is an exclusivity contract that reimburses the development costs the first guy had to cash out…
I was a bit rude in this comment, and it's too late to edit, sorry. I would also add, as others have pointed out, that BMW always used the designations not in correlation with engine size, but the power associated to that engine size. As the German Autokatalog shows, they were already doing this 30 years ago.
Hi, this is your friendly tipster here. Frankly, I find it highly amusing how much noise this trivial bit of information has produced. For God's sake, it's just a piece of shiny plastic on the trunk. Is it really worth caring so much about? Yes, many many years ago it could always provide reliable information about…
As a hardcore old(er) BMW enthusiast, I've given up on their continually changing naming structure and largely don't care. BMW 330i and 440i etc. are now just as meaningless as Acura's TL and RL, or Lincoln's MKWhatever cars.
I'm sorry, sir, she's gone from suck to blow!
Actually, the Bild artice says that they found out that the cars didn't really race, they just went out for a drive..
This kind. They sell em at Walmart and NASCAR APPROVED!!!1 They also make a version with solder inside but they're a waste of money because you end up burning the cover off when you try melting the solder.
For the love of Ganesh do not bother soldering those wires together. Soldering is fine for wires that don't get the bejeezus shaken out of them while rolling down the road (or over). The heat from the iron anneals the copper in the wire and weakens it if you don't do it right, and the wire will eventually break…
I agree the E46 looks like a bloated pig, but I like the E36 the best of all.
I'd much rather have the E36 than the E46 both for the much better looks and sportier driving dynamics. The E46 was just softened too much in looks and demeanor.
So what about test drivers who don't bother becoming car buyers? Especially when they already know the car is hotter than their budget and/or less practical than their needs. I've actually never done that, but one hears stories...
When I sold cars I remember it was a pain getting customers to go on test drives. Sales managers would get mad if customers didnt want to do test drives. Its all a psychological game though. Its to get the people to make them feel like the car is theirs already. Most people get bored though, especially women who could…
"They're all good, I just use it to commute downtown to work, and I'm not going to have it for more than 3 years; who cares."
Maybe not having the original motor won't be an issue since a collector would know every one of these cars had it replaced by the factory? The replacement motor is still original factory equipment in this case, sort of.
Incorrect. The E21 is the best looking of the bunch and the E46 looks like a bloated pig.
