Listening to Say Hello to Heaven this morning had me sobbing.

I was planning to marry him when I was about 17.

My husband was born there so this is a legit possibility!

I remember seeing Swing Shift at the movies, with my mom. I feel like it might not have been appropriate for my age at the time, but my mom was one of those late 70s-early 80s moms who just said to close your eyes if people start taking their clothes off.

“It’s the sport of kings. Better than diamond rings.”

I want to believe this is true so bad that I’m just going to. I can only hope that what comes out in the end is so satisfying we all cry for joy that the nightmare is over.

You are so right and yet I’m some kind of a goddamn masochist because I keep going. I had to take a looooong break after 6 but I may be ready for 7. If you think 2 is bad definitely stay far away from 3. Mr Willoughby almost killed me. Wait, why am I reading them again? They’re the most perplexing love/hate read for

True! The long silk tunic is speaking to me, but I would destroy it the first time I put it on and sat in the subway. For $285 or whatever it is.

That’s how I justified it too! I don’t remember the brand, but they’re soft, don’t roll, and make my butt look banging, so I call it worth it. These Missoni things are pretty but not exactly staples. An investment in a good wardrobe, though?

I’m very into that red eyelet skirt and the long red and white dress on the bottom left. I’m sort of torn between being too cheap/poor to buy such expensive clothes and wanting to buy them because I’m tired of designers and clothing companies using the excuse that plus size shoppers aren’t willing to spend as much

It’s the first book I have bought in a long time for full price. I was definitely considering adding the audiobook because I love listening to Neil Gaiman read anything.

I just inhaled Tana French’s In the Woods while I was sick with a cold. Getting ready to read Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology next. Maybe. I keep downloading books from Kindle’s monthly under $3.99 or whatever sales, so I have a lot of random books.

Yeah, I’m not thrilled by James Franco generally, but he did a pretty good job.

I concede that you make an excellent point there. It has been a really long time since I read it, but it does a much better job of that than the movie and is heartbreaking. I also have visceral memories of the visual of the dog at the car windshield and practically feeling how hot and claustrophobic it looked in that

I’m convinced that seeing Cujo as a young child is the reason that although I love animals and still love dogs, I can’t really and truly in my heart be a dog person. I loved The Dome the book but not the show, which I gave up on after I think 2 episodes. Carrie I love both, but only the Sissy Spacek movie version. I

I do not like scary things except for Stephen King. It is a bit of an exception but quite often dumb/greedy/corrupt people are the real villains in his books, all wrapped up in supernatural packaging.

IT scared the bejeezus out of me when I first read it at 14. The fact that Uncle Stevie broke one of the cardinal rules—he let a monster chase the kids OUTSIDE of the haunted house, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT—taught me that all bets were off forever.

ME TOO!

Yeah, sorry! I saw the others after I responded. I do agree it’s totally possible that they leaked it.

Well I thought she checked with them to comment on their authenticity, hence tipping them off and precipitating the statement before her show even aired. But I am skeptical that those clowns could come up with a somewhat coherent statement without even more advance knowledge. So it maybe probably was him leaking it
