Yes. I have read the books through 6 and somehow completely forgot his racist bullshit, but the show is definitely painting him as better, which I do think makes it more 3 dimensional and doesn’t let Claire off the hook so easily. Because she is kind of an asshole too.

This season should definitely get batshit if it follows the book. In a mostly good way. Then 4 and 5 are my favorite books of the series so far.
