Right! It didn’t even occur to me while reading (since they’re SO LONG I guess I felt like more time had passed!), but thinking about how they’d deal with that timeline in the show it is kind of ridiculous.

Thanks for confirming! Her engineering background becomes important, and I am not sure the show will give the time for her to go back and study it before...stuff happens? I’m clearly fuzzy on some of the details anyway.

Maybe I loved it because Voyager was so frigging bonkers that it seemed so good in comparison. I know that it’s a huge commitment once you start one of her 10,000 page books, but if you’re bored and have nothing else to dive into, I’d say give it a shot.

Particularly towards Roger, who is a dreamboat in every way.

Book 4 is no lie my favorite, but then you can stop after that. I mean, you can stop wherever you want :), but I do recommend 4.

Somebody I read somewhere said that Bree started out in history and then switched to engineering, but I haven’t looked back at the books to confirm that for myself. I did say WTF history? to myself.

100% agreed on Brianna. I haven’t made it through the books yet—sort of stuck on book 6 and put it aside for a while. I hoped she’d get better.

They did such a great job on this and I cried as many ugly tears as I did reading it. The one thing that bugged me was that they left out the initials thing at the stones from the book, but I can get over it because they did so well overall and the walking backwards looking into each other’s eyes killed me.

Yeah, I can’t imagine how they’ll get through everything in one season, so that does make sense.

I had honestly completely blocked that shit out of my mind until you reminded me because it was so.damn.awful. I can’t imagine they’ll go that route in the show, and if they do, they have to deal with the character very differently.

I mean...it’s possible that he’s having a human moment. Or even better that he is telling Trump thanks but no. But more likely he’s strategizing that the Republicans aligning with racists is not going to help in the general election and he’s trying to undercut Hillary’s vast advantage with minorities. Which he hopes…
