right?

Same here.

A Bayo 3 release date!

The high seas will help you. They offer you uncensored episodes, too, something Funimation certainly did NOT do.

My initial reaction was “savage” being used in the 80's way (dating myself here) like calling something “cool”, “wicked”, or “bitchin’”. After reading this article I now know that in certain situations “savage” may be problematic and I should asses if, in the rare chance, using that word may be taken to mean something

oof. That’s good to know - visually it’s a lot like MM, but that detail is gonna help me not to sink money into the game (I plunked down on the season pass for the month, but won’t invest further knowing that).

I don’t necessarily know if I agree with that. It felt scummy to me as a player and it was scummy to Cloud and Aerith, hence their attempt to rescue Tifa before they learn she is there to try and get information from Corneo.

eat a dick.

I always have the exact same trajectory with these games:

My biggest problem with the original game was that only the party members and Sephiroth got notable character models and portraits, meaning that incredibly important characters like Hojo were rendered as incredibly bland Roblox-looking blokes:

The very creepy, very rapey thing? The thing they were exactly trying to show, because the crimeboss doing the creepy thing was clearly accused of only wanting the prettiest girls for his own pleasure? How would you suggest they show it? Have the disgusting man be very courteous and gentleman-like?

I get it, but unless the game has you forcibly removing, killing, or kidnapping an indigenous people, then I'm not sure it really implies.

As someone all for trying to put more thought into the language used and it’s appropriateness going forward, I’ll ultimately have to admit this fell short of convincing.

This won’t get past the grays, since most people are piling on at this point. But I’ll say this much as a counterpoint:

This feels like the most manufactured of manufactured controversies. I Googled “savage” as requested, and got the following as the first result.

None of the definitions feel inherently racist, and the initial adjectival definition feels like it serves the game perfectly. Sure, the developers *could* have chosen a

Keeping up with the “you can’t use that word” anymore treadmill is definitely exhausting.

I can’t say I really see an issue here. Especially if they’re using it as an adjective. There’s enough real things to have an issue with that we don’t need to keep looking for the next thing to be outraged about. I mean, while we’re debating who/what is woke enough or not, Trump and the GOP are fucking up the country.

The fact that this isn’t included for free with Switch Online is utter bullshit. And if they’re going they charge 3x what Bank cost, they could have at least included a way to battle people Unlimited style.

It was the Kotaku Pointing Fish before it was the Kotaku Censor Fish.
