I agree. If you have the back loaded with luggage, adding a sloppy, full-size tire is going to be something awful! Don’t get a flat while on vacation in a Dodge minivan!
Any.
He’s out in Seattle speaking at a conference
“The doctors did the best they could..........and he is going to be okay.”
Jason ‘...is no longer around’ leaves a certain impression, man.
Sorry for the confusion--Jason still works here, he’s just in Seattle speaking at a conference.
Fresh donuts my ass. Fresh donuts come hot out of the fryer, not a mini oven. I want no part of this false advertisement, ND.
Which one? Hotel or Landscaping? I don’t want any mix up anymore...
I did a quick search in Germany, and the ones that I found in comparable conditions are in the mid 4-figure range. There are many available in better condition for less. The seller has definitely slapped on an obscurity premium.
Key word here is utility. This will always be a slow, non-inspiring, work truck-no matter how much $$ you dump into it. And, for 15500, there is a lot more utility to be had elsewhere.
Average VW fan here: you are 100% correct.
That $15,000 is a downpayment on a similar amount to make this worth about . . . maybe $15,000 once restored, repainted, refurbished, whatever term you want to throw at it. This is somebody who imported it for the specific reason of reselling it at a premium. Sort of like flipping houses for profit, with cheap “new”…
Wait is this the only punishment for driving a vehicle like this on the roads? Hmm it might actually be worth taking the racecar out on the roads just for fun if the punishment is so low
Baldwin has never fundamentally understood that 90% of PR is just knowing when to shut your hole.
Pedestrian in the Middle of the Road: Oh, hold on I’m getting a text! (stops in road to fish out phone and read text message).
honestly I don’t think the repairability is going to be an issue, if you even have a minor fender bender in a modern car there are so many sensors to replace that the car gets written off as totaled 9 times out of 10. I guess the big thing is going to be if you have a new car have good insurance.
Having an odometer is always relevant. Your odo may have 25k on it, but it WORKS. Even if the odometer isn’t accurate for the engine in place, you need to know how many miles have elapsed so you can stay on top of maintenance. The seller should have fixed it and noted the inaccurate odo on the title. A broken odometer…
Too much money for a Cars and Coffee vehicle where you’ll always have to answer questions with “not sure, someone else built it.” ND.
The other rule, which seems to push for increased headlight standards, and self leveling systems to ensure they’re pointed correctly is probably more important overall as the dynamic headlights will likely not be on most cars.
