“Lifetime Fluids” usually are meant to mean that the original owner never has to change them in the avg life of their ownership (4-8 years?). To the rest of us it makes life a PITA to change them as they need changing if your going to drive the car till the doors fall off (or until you cant get replacement parts…

TFL tested an hybrid jeep on electric only on a Colorado trail. The 24 mile E range was reduced to less then 4 miles.

Now imagine where you have to drive a variety of cars, all with non standard controls. Be it rentals, a car jockey on a car lot, parking attendant or valet, etc ...
