I’ve found with really crappy headlights especially aftermarket that “Little tab” doesnt always work.

Thats exactly why they need better lights. You are confusing better with stronger, and they are different things. The lenses which focus the lights (and reflectors) are all crap and no amount of aiming them will help. Glare comes from poorly designed light patterns.
