Same. We should go together and take turns passing out.

And I learned a new word!

Right?!?! I live in NH, for godssakes, and even I knew that.

Ugh, just realized my original post said 49 instead of 47- so I can’t even get the numbers right now! But, the point remains: those 5 non-white students were all that mattered to Fisher.

Right???? I think I felt compelled to tell you because I made the same mistake at first- I don’t think my brain could accept that all this mess was over a whopping 5 students!

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this, but there were 49 students admitted that year who had the same or lower GPAs/SATs as Fisher- 42 of those students were white. Only five in that group were black or Latino.

I think I overheard that same couple at the DMV last week!

I care who’s ruining my air with secondhand smoke.

Okay, so calling a guy a disgusting creep should be perfectly acceptable, no matter how he or anyone else feels about it.

No problem! And I hadn’t heard of Zofran before, I’ll have to mention it to my doctor. Thank you!

Ugh, I have nothing to add except to tell you I’m right beside you in stress-nausea land :( I try to eat a lot of salad when I feel like this, as it’s not very heavy, ideally with watercress in it as it’s SO nutritious (I’ve been hospitalized for nutritional deficiencies following long periods of stress, so it’s

And...? People will decide if his supporters subjective opinions have any bearing on their own opinions on this specific situation. Likewise with Knightly. As the two situations are not only different but unalike, and involve different individuals, someone’s opinion on one situation is not dependent on their opinion

I don’t think it’s a double standard, just simple differences in how much value a given individual attributes to specific evidence and opinions. Comparison is difficult as the two situations are so dissimilar. Whether or not Knightly behaved like a “diva”, and even what constitutes “diva behavior”, is something a

No one is questioning his right to his opinion. But others are entitled to their opinion as well, and in this situation, it is the opinion of many people that he acted unprofessionally in criticizing her that way. Many people also appear to think his opinion is wildly off-base. Why are these opinions any less valid?

Nope right back at’cha- I mean, you even quoted the part when he called her a “supermodel”. She’s not a supermodel. She’s an actress.

This is the second time I’ve seen something Father Ted-related on Kinja, and it makes me immensely happy.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson was woefully miscast as Vronsky, in my opinion.

I agree. I’ve loved Johansson in some roles, but the quality of her performance seems quite dependent on the quality of the material (so, if she’s in a mediocre film, her performance will be mediocre, etc.). Whereas Knightly seems to consistently deliver, regardless of the nature of what she’s working with.

On a related note- does it seem odd to anyone else that Stanhope claims he did not feel comfortable talking to Depp about his relationship when he thought his friend was being abused, but now feels entirely cool with publishing this (according to him) without Depp’s knowledge?
