I live in KC area and yeah it’s pretty clear now.  I could see how it could have been bad decades ago though with all the industry here.

Yup.  And a short training program will get you the skills necessary to operate the machinery that screws those lamp shades together.  And that job will pay a livable, albeit not comfortable, wage.

I don’t think that’s a hot take. It seems like common sense that the low income service industry people would be the first to lose their jobs.

My guess is people buying a brand new Ranger right now and opting for the tune aren’t the same people qualifying for the stimulus. The income threshold is pretty low for the stimulus. 

I have the liquid assets.  The stimulus isn’t about giving money to the poor.  It’s about stimulating the economy by encouraging spending.  

To those actually getting a stimulus, be happy and thankful.  Some of us supposedly make too much.

I say that the initial estimates of 100k to 200k were intentionally overstated by the Trump administration so as to make Trump look better when the real number comes in lower than that.  Then he can say that he did such a good job with the pandemic that he saved so many lives.

Just use a mutual insurance company and you’ll save that 20% or more on every bill.
