I considered buying an Audi rs7 which has a similar backseat. It would have been usable for 2 years to ferry 3 kids as needed because of rear-facing car seats in that center location despite a center console. So yes, I would do it - if I had such a vehicle.

Great straw man argument ya got there...

Pardon me - I wrote it quickly between meetings. You are correct, I meant to indicate that - both vehicles utilize the same engine and appear to have the same output. The torque rating spikes are a fluke of the gear they are using and the trans; but neither have any  indication of significant under-rating. Just

SamJam - My apologies, in my pursuit for brevity I left out a key component. I meant there is value in a car mag doing quarter mile runs at the same track and driver. It evens the playing field alot and they have consistent testing methodologies.

No, just no. Stop the dyno to crank comparisons. Stop the dyno to dyno comparisons. Just stop.Dynos are useless for measuring output at the crank. Dynos are useless being compared against themselves for different cars on different dynos and different days. Really, dynos are useless for anything except before and after

As a father of three, I can technically strap in a 3rd car seat in the middle. Just saying.

What are ya, blind? There’s 3 boys in that pic :)

You think I cast into the ocean? I just stand up my rod and call it a day. No reason for my kids to be tangling themselves in the line unnecessarily.

I fit my three boys in the Jeep and drive onto Delaware beaches. One of my favorite parts of being a dad. :)

Thanks Robb. Feel free to identify me as some random dude overly worried about your health :) Keep on kicking ass.

Robb, I get it. But when speaking to yourself or being quoted in writing, don’t state you normally wouldn’t run those conditions. You would. You did. You would do it again.

I enjoy a good personal attack as much as the next guy, but you missed my point: His quote was self-refuting and he affirmed that.

Robb was quoted as saying, “I normally wouldn’t run in those conditions as it’s a huge risk and you don’t really learn much. However time on the mountain is so limited that you can’t afford to not run.”

I would like to see him try to tackle my wife’s honda odyssey minivan every 2 weeks.

In the words of Austin Powers, “That’s a man, baby”

“ But it’s a visible and clear symbol that we would rather keep killing people from the sky than change anything about how we act in the world so we don’t have to anymore. Just because we use a James Bond villain weapon for better purposes than a Bond villain would doesn’t alter the fact that we’re using it. Expecting

You know you are at the pinnacle of human society and first-world-country-ism when your country invests millions and billions in developing weapons that severely limit unintended human suffering in war, and aid greatly in the precision of violent actions, and your countrymen armchair debate the ethical nature and

Overplayed, but you still deserve a star.

You are driving one of the most fun, low-powered, AWD vehicles ever made in a classic body style that has as aged well.

FYI my definition of reliability in a DD is basically a bulletproof drivetrain for 60-100k miles over 5-7 years. I can accept a minor electrical issue in there, maybe the need for a clutch replacement, but that’s the bar I set. Others accept more issues before then as part of race-car.
