Googled around and found some clips, it's definitely interesting but I'm not sure if it's for me. It did prompt me to look up that other animation with all the creatures set to Ravel's Bolero though, and that was all kinds of enjoyable.

Who's to say they didn't resurrect her earlier and it's been kept secret? I think there are ways the showrunners can pull it off if they actually want to.

I sort of feel like that backlash would've happened by now if it was going to. Women's roles and white actors playing other races have been part of the conversation for a while now, and I can't recall seeing people turn on LoA anywhere in that time. I think it probably has to do with the fact that the movie doesn't do

I like the smoking mailbox almost as much as I dislike the pop culture animals.

Watched some of the Euro Cup.

The prequels are undeniably dire, but I've always been happy to give ROTJ (and now TFA) the benefit of the doubt. I don't need every single thing in a series to be the absolute greatest. "Not as good as the first two" doesn't have to mean "sucks". There's plenty to enjoy in those other two, I feel no need to make it a

How many times are you going to do this?

Ever since it was announced that Rian Johnson would be directing, Episode VIII has been the one of this new crop of Star Wars films I've been most eagerly anticipating. That's not to say I disliked TFA; far from it, in fact I rank it third overall among the movies that have been released. VIII is the one in the group

Well, that's something I'm probably going to read.

Didn't they add a lot of the Poe Dameron character moments to The Force Awakens during reshoots to lighten the tone of that film? I don't think this situation is as drastic as the internet seems to want me to believe it is.

I thought The Wise Man's Fear was a few hundred pages longer than it needed to be. I enjoyed it a lot, but it felt significantly more bloated and meandering than The Name of the Wind.

I'm sure any test audiences would need to sign some big scary NDAs, but I feel like there would be some sort of plot-related rumors/info/hints kicking around if anyone outside of Disney had seen the film.

Duly noted. I just confirmed that he is in fact still in the mix on IMDB, but I won't go any further.

I assumed he was going to be one of the two other Greyjoy brothers who have evidently been written out.

All this talk of casting in the stray observations section has got me wondering: where the hell is Ian McShane?

Late breaking addition to my list: I just bought Amy Winehouse's Frank on vinyl. Currently swooning over it and contemplating mixing a drink.

Yeah, you may want to quit while you're ahead.

Movies:
The Witch - Loved it in theaters, love it now. The "it's not even scary" crowd can eat a dick.

The animals are gone! The animals are gone! It's a Memorial Day miracle!
